Disappointed by how people treated this movie in theatres. This is a masterpiece which left me in tears. Cricket is one thing in India that people celebrate irrespective of religion and caste.

The reason behind the flop of this movie is the scene where they have shown Sandhu Sir washing his heads. Hindus should know that Ramji also has a Jura and should respect sikhs who saved Hindus from Aurangzeb. They disrespected Sikhs that's why the movie flopped and all movies will flop who will disrespect Sikhs. When munmun datta called sc st - bhangi. Fir was filed against her. If you say arunchal pradesh is china you get jail then why everybody can make fun of Sikhs. Such people be jailed too.

Just saw this movie.....it's commendable 🙌 Best part is, it doesn't revolves around just one person/ player, it shows u the journey and struggle of whole Indian team.
Ranveer during the interview scene definitely felt like Kapil Dev 🤯 . Great casting. Another Kabir Khan Mega blockbuster ❤️

Im a pakistani .. and im so disappointed and so feeling glum .... Want to know why? You guys spend a lot of money making these shitty romantic heroes more richer, like shahrukh and Salman and all .. and spend thousands and thousands on their shitty movies .. but you guys didnt go to theatres to make this movie a hit? You guys didnt show any respect to your real heroes what they did for your country ... harsh reality but accept it .. most of the people prefered sitting at home watching dil walay dhulania lai jaingay rather than going to the cinema and make the real heroes proud 😞 Can you imagine, after hearing that this movie is a flop, how would your heroes including Kapil would have thought ..??? They would have thought that you guys dont appreciate their efforts .. you guys want reel heroes and you become crazy for them .. I had very low expectations from this movie... But surprisingly this turned out to be must watch movie... It's a overwhelming experience to watch this movie...
My dad said 83 world cup was special to a whole Indian nation... I saw a proud happiness in his eyes when he use to speak about it... Sad my dad is not there to see this movie now... After seeing this trailer I got goosebumps looks fantastic looks so realistic.. Hats off to ranveer singh
The best part about the trailer is "It doesn't just revolve around Ranveer Singh.." it has also given importance to other characters..which is truly commendable 👏👏

Just watched film. It's a masterpiece. Being a Bangladeshi I felt each and every emotions of 1983. Because one thing is for sure , the craze for cricket in India Bangladesh and Pakistan cannot be compared to any other country. I really don't understand how this masterpiece is a flop man?

Great film. Imagine the discomforts those players put up with. Today even average kids in India enjoy these comforts. Very moving. Now I understand the symbolic meaning of this match. It was about self respect and a new country coming of age and so many otehr things. Also enjoyed the Hyderabadi accents!

It's sad that you need a silly Bollywood film to tell you about the "Real Heroes". Their stories are available all over the internet since ages. Will be good if we start investing our efforts and time to read/see the unfiltered versions rather than these dumb money spinning Bollywood movies.

Watched the movie today. What a beautifully nuanced movie created by Kabir Khan. The casting has been excellent. The matches were matching the real ones and I really loved how Kabir Khan introduced pictures/videos of the actual matches in between as well. Ranveer Singh is too good. He has copied even the way Kapil Dev spoke. Mind blowing! Acting by everyone is excellent. They recreated the world of 1983 very well as well. This one is a theatre watch for sure! A mix of a movie and historic matches. No reason to not watch such a beautiful recreation of an important time of Indian history! Please do watch it! Kudos to the team that made this movie. 🌟🌟🌟

One thing i like about these kinds of bollywood movies is how people of all states and religions are represented and makes us more united when some political parties try to divide hats off kabir khan for this movie
The dedication of Ranveer Singh towards his craft is outstanding and so inspiring! We all know how crazy he is in real life but when it comes to his work, he will put his life into his character and this is what reflects on the screen everytime. I felt his best performance was Peshwa Bajirao ..but he came as Alauddin Khilji. Just when you thought Khilji is his best, he comes as Murad. Just when you thought that was maybe his career best, he comes as Kapil Dev. I can't believe this guy was Bittoo Sharma some 10 years ago. What a career graph. What versatility! What an artist. Hats off.

Absolutely true.. and completely agree.. He lives his roles and that reflects in his performance! I couldn't identify Ranveer Singh at all throughout the trailer and that's a proof of his incredible performance.

I was born in Nov 1983. Just few months after the world cup. Today I saw this movie. It is a masterpiece. I was not watching a movie. Its seems to be I am watching the world cup. Enjoying every moment of it. My father was very much fond of cricket. I wish if he was here today. He could have revive his 83 moment once again. In every scene I missed my father.

u may not like ranveer for his life style, but trust me when its about playing character roles.. he is simply the best in this industry, he may not dress right, he may be a nuisance but when he plays character roles. he is the boss.. absolute goosebumps felt
