I am from Pakistan and i agree that mukti bahini and the people of bangladesh did right bcz the west pakistanis (now pakistan) were exploiting them and were transferring all of the resources from bangladesh to pakistan to an extent when pakistani became 40% richer than bangali. I do not like the army’s control over Pakistan and believe that democracy should be in Pakistan as jinnah wanted after he created the state. Till date in Pakistan there is a very undemocratic form of democracy where the locals are controlled by politicians who in turn are controlled by army and army is controlled by the USA and thus whosoever (like imran khan) goes against the army end up in jail no matter how much support he has 😢 a very sad truth of pakistan. I am happy that u got relived from the west wing 🇧🇩

My grandfather served in Indian Army in the years after Independence. He retired as a Major and left this world at the age of 80 some 30 years ago. As a kid I recall once the pride in his eyes while talking about Field Marshall Sam Sir. I didn't understand at that time, but watching this trailer gave an emotional and also nostalgic feel to me to remember my grand father.

My grandfather (nanu) served with Sir Sam Mankeshaw during 1965 and 1971. He was called back during 1971 after his retirement for the war. I have heard great things about his leadership. I am a sikh and a CDS aspirant as well. Sam Manekshaw is someone i looked up to whole my life. A great Leader A great human.

I used to listen all the stories of "general maneksaa" since childhood. My grandfather was in indian army "rajpoot regiment".He fought four wars for Bharat. 1. Goa liberation war 1961 2.Bharat China war 1962 3.Bharat Pakistan war 1965 4.Bharat Pakistan war 1971-72 He got 8 medals from Indian army for his braveness. He passed away in 2013. 10 saal ho gaye "papa" kaha chale gaye aap.

This one movie will definitely unite India and Bangladesh again despite of some Cricket related conflicts in both countries. Huge respect for this man. We Bangladeshies only know that we had been fighting from 25 th March to 16 December during Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 and India joined the war in 3rd of December and fought till 16th December, 1971 only for few days. Anyways, didn’t even know the names of this greatest Indian Soldier who helped us Immensely during 1971 Liberation war. Thanks to let us know about this great man. I will definitely watch this movie. The legend of Field Marshal Sam Manekshwa cannot be contained in a feature film. Having said that, this must be followed with a webseries with intricate deatails about the events. Sam bahadur played a key role in shaping modern India's borders, you can't summarise his life in just 3 hours. Kudos to the efforts.

Sardar Udham is one of the best movies I have ever watched. The intensity, the depth, the pain and miseries, the love, the honesty and loyalty towards the nation and glimpses of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, just speechless, it was so so great. This movie is going to be my most favourite Movie. Hearing Sam Manekshaw Sir's voice in ADGPI videos give me goosebumps. Watching Vicky Kaushal play this role will be wholesome.

Amazing film and Vicky has proved his mettle again as an actor. Hats off to Sam Manekshaw, true Indian legend.

There's difference between people who choose to watch animal and Sam Bahadur... The audience is different for both genres. Its fiction vs Non fiction.. But the story of our field marshal Sir Sam Manekshaw must be known by every Indian.. Jai Hind ❤️

The trailer looks immensely promising! I look forward to seeing Vicky Kaushal's magic on the screen. I was fortunate to meet and interact with FM Manekshaw sir in Indian Military Academy's passing out parade back when I was a school girl (my dad was serving at IMA, Dehradun). Of course, he was older, but his eyes still shined as brightly, there was a playful twirl in his moustache when he smiled, and he was always so respectful of meeting and interacting with everyone (specially wives of the officers and children). My dad who also served in the Indian army was posted with FM Manekshaw in his earliest years of service, and when he saw this trailer, he just smiled in nostalgia.

My family knew him very well. My grandfather was an officer with the Rajput Regiment in North Africa and fought at El Alamein. Those were great men of a great generation. Manekshaw was a brilliant soldier and a great leader.

Extremely excited for its release. Have read so much about Field Marshal SHFJ Manekshaw since childhood. What a great bold personality he was who treaded the path of Indian Army in the most undulating circumstances with impeccable leadership. I remember to have read many anecdotes of him during SSB , in a book kept in the library of SCE Allahabad, which left me in awe of him. His interviews , his lecture in St. Xavier College, Bombay still available in youtube. He is an institution of leadership in himself and I aim to inculcate his good qualities including his charm, aura and wit in life. I have full faith that this movie will do full justice to its objective of taking the story of this legend to the Indian masses and inspire them. Jai Hind!
