And old school friend's dad owned a bunch of jukeboxes and arcade machines. He set one up for her birthday party. It was a Rowe CD-51. I immediately fell in love with it. Even 10 years later, I'm still in love, but I can't justify getting one, let alone afford it. Beautiful mix of electronics and mechanisms. And wow, did it sound great.

Hello. What can I do to get one of these out of "demo mode"? I have one that only plays randomly and I can't choose a cd to play. Any help would be great and appreciated.

I'm in need of repairing I believe the disk changer, (not sure what its called) when I want to view CD options, I push the arrow changer an nothing moves. It looks like a top right corner of selection house is broke, can it be replaced? Rowe, AMI compact disk.

Is there a way that I can play an entire album on my Rowe AMI Compact disc jockey box. Also also want to do random play. It says by the selection buttons to play album press two digit disk number then hit popular. But when I do it says NOT ALLOWED NA

Hi Todd, and everyone else, I enjoy seeing your posts. I have a part time hobby, (all for myself, my wife and I have a 1300 sq foot game room in our home) restoring older EM pinball machines and working on slot machines. I am curious about how you would install a "wired" volume knob to my AMI CD Rowe 50. (You may ask why not Bluetooth? I dislike carrying my phone or just don't want to be fumbling with it) S my question is, could you do a video on "how to install a wired volume knob" If anybody has an idea, please tell me. Yiur jukebox would have all the connections as screw terminals already in place. Yiu would.need to find the manual which will show you how to hook it up.

I just got a Rowe jukebox yesterday, and have some questions. I know this is an old video, but maybe someone will reply? It’s about initializing the CDs. The people who I bought it from just dropped it off with no CDs in. I watched them load a few CDs and then made them watch me load a few while they were still there to make sure I did it right. We put one in, shut lid, press whatever disc # and a track number - and it’d play. Repeated all that until I got a total of about 20 discs in. Then, going back to play them didn’t work!! That’s when I found these videos about initializing and the “service” button. The ppl did not even mention that. So I did try (or thought I did) to initialize each CD, but as it initialized, the CD never spun. It just would pick it up and put it down over and over! Any help would be appreciated!

the motor must be binding on something...see if it turns if you disconnect it from the machine gears

All right I understand that so where is ofo where's the slot for oh 10203 and then you got the other slots for see the ones with the dots on them for the number but what's the slot next to it

That's a nice jukebox and its similar to the way we initialize the CD'S on our nsm wall hanging jukeboxes. Anyway can you tell Frank get well soon and my family and I are thinking about him all the way from Ireland? Anyway its 2:35 in the morning here so im out :)

Hey Todd..I hate seeing you cut off the lock tabs off the foot door!! But I wanted to tell you that you can put the 250 watt amps into Rowe 45 boxes!! Its plug n play but you have to reroute the wire harrness so the plugs will reach but I just left the amp upside down and it works fine that way lol sounds awesome with the extra power and you can play your ipod or phone in to since it has RCA inputs for the cd player!! Amp has to have phono inputs..Most do I think!!

How do I download the instructions? Am I missing something??

I recently got the 100C. I got it to work with free play no problem. How do you get it to play an album ? When I press the first two digits then popular it doesn't do anything. It just shows the first two digits that I pressed. I looked on the cd manual on page 2-42 under code 6992 It does show how to set 55 and 65 for free play and album buy are toggled to on still no luck.

If ithe feature is turned on, you punch in the disc number and THEN two zeros...4 digits total, to play the entire album.

Very informative, but I do have a question when I went to initialize I go to close the lid and it doesn't do anything

Try squirting that service switch really well with contact cleaner...if one of the wipers is not making good contact, sometimes this is the result!

I got it to work now issue I'm having is that when it plays it sometimes skips a disc or two. So for instance I want to play cd 15 it plays 17 or 19

Todd I just got my 100C to play full albums. I took it off free play & added credits instead. So I added 9999 credits & punched in the 2 digit album & then popular & it did take the credits down to 9985. Hope this helps others who have this problem. I think mine has older software version & that may be why it doesn't work like it's supposed to. To add credits go to svc mode and punch in 8 4 then 9999 press popular to save. Maybe you can make a new Todd's Tit's video on this !

How Todd, so I've got an oppurtunity to pick up a 100C pretty cheap. Checked it out the other day and it turns on and plays music. it is missing the dollar bill changer, but that's no biggie, I want it for home. I does not have a key to unlock the case... any tips on how to get it open and can I pick your brain to help restore the box?

you will have to either pick the lock or pry into it...sometimes, there is a number on the front of the lock and you may be able to find a key on ebay. Good luck

you have to clean the disc or polish out the scratches....then remap that disc...the jukebox automatically locks a disc when it skips a few times...

Actually, the 1967 ULTRA model 437 was the last visible mechanism Rockola and the first transistorized amplifier. In 1965 Rockola still used the 6973 tubes push-pull amplifiers.

I have a cd100-e and I followed the instructions and initialized all CDs...however, when I press the two digit code for a CD and then "popular" in order to play the entire CD; it still says "not allowed"; any tips?!?

the iossue is if there was another cd in it before, it will think its that disc
