My good friend, who sadly passed a few years ago always used to say, "if you have a rose in the garden you'll have love in the house." I've always planted roses since. ❤
Lovely memory of Rusty having his own tree I hope it flourishes there forever and forever. Love how you keep it real even showing us the bath water after you had your much needed bath! What a lovely interesting life you are having, thanks for sharing.

The water and soil that was cleaned out off the bath was from the plants soaking
Sean just a thought, if you keep some of the large pieces of cardboard they would serve to smother areas of weeds down on the homestead.
My grandad used to take me to Fryers Roses..... lovely memories I called my daughter Ruby Rose in his memory ❤

@@marybazargani6929 My dad always had Roses in his small garden. I would smell the roses as I came home from school. He was a gardener by trade and is long gone now but every time I smell roses or freshly cut grass I think of him. My granddaughter is called Autumn Rose.😊
Some lovely plants there Sean, looking forward to seeing them planted in the Homestead.
I remember when I was a little girl, my mum used to put the house plants in the bath, when we were going on holiday,
It's like Christmas day every day at yours Sean 😂😂😂
Silent watcher here. Thank you for all your videos Sean . I've been watching you for approx 15 years. You are so watchable, enthusiastic and great at your job. Thank you. I feel I have so many things in common with you. Keep up with the great work. Never missed a video ❤😊🎉🎉🎉

Well let them know we love them on this channel.
Hi, Sean, I believe you keep you keep all this cardboard as it’s very useful in the garden 😊😊😊
Me personally, I would have spent this year getting the homestead sorted and plans made for where I wanted everything to go. Then next year start planting everything ready for the season.
Along with the sunshine there’s gotta be a little rain sometime 🌧
I love Rusty's tree.
Enjoy your lovely plants Sean. You could make a wee trailer for behind your bike. A woman near us takes her dog in one and it looks fabulous.
You mean a three hour wash not a three hour spin!! ( I hope🤦♀️)😂 no need for those long washes😩
Morning Sean, it looks absolutely lovely where you live, it seems so friendly and a great community, thanks for sharing.
I went for coffee to the lambing shed, near me, they have what I call the potting shed, I bought for £10 home grown lovely pink climbing rose, just noticed this evening another rose of mine has buds,
Hi Sean, lovely Rosie's you need to sit on your hand, then can't order anymore , nice cuppa ☕
I've a Rhapsody in blue rose had it a few years now its now full of flower and never seems to catch anything. Its quite tall despite me pruning it every year. Nice healthy plants . I'm always buying them they live near the bin store until i get round to putting them in which might be later on as the weather doesn't look too bad today in South Yorkshire😊
Loving your new plants. The Acer is beautiful.
Plant a handful of a green manure crop, they need little attention and will enrich the soil , you can leave them in the ground for age’s!
Beautiful roses. They’ll bloom straight away. I had purchased bare root “Enchanted Peace” roses. They put on leaves very quickly and have started blooming.
I have19 different David austin roses in my garden but I find it really hard to keep black spot away from them

I’ve had a lot of success with planting salvias at the base of the roses. They apparently give some sort of natural anti fungal protection.

I have a number of D Austin roses too and in recent years I’m finding that they struggle in the heat of my garden. The ones in semi shade get by. The old roses seem to be able to take any weather.
So many beautiful roses. And so healthy. You really hit the jack pot with this company. When they bloom it will be quite the site. That hand washing song is quite catchy. Never heard it before. Traveling to Toronto Canada to visit our son on Thursday. Really warm there and 40 % humidity. Not looking forward to that type of weather. They are in the middle of a heat wave!🌞🔥
Can't wait to see what the next video is, you be cleaning unboxing and sleeping between cups of tea 😂 see you used the cart with wheels to get your plants down, very handy, I need to get one of those for the back of my bike 🚲
Lovely roses. Fry's roses are excellent
I live in Aberdare, runner beans are in and are doing well. Also put in dwarf beans. Potatoes I got in clearance have just gone in. Sweet corn and cabbage etc just planted. Your not too late. We are slower here. ❤ There are free greenhouses coming up in Marketplace. Keep an eye out for one in your area.
Boy the plants are 100 percent larger than mail order in the states
Hi Sean 👋 what a lovely show of plants you have received so healthy looking I love roses 🌹 they are my favourite it will be lovely to see your roses when in flower but I also love them when in bloom you can't beat a rose it's like the rolls - royce of flowers ❤️
Great healthy plants Sean, you made some good choices there for scent and sensory. They will make a stunning display. That breakfast looked awesome, I’m sure they will do well with their new business. You live in such a good spirited community, how wonderful is that! Another excellent start to my day 😀❤️ thank you Sean x
You're going to be very busy planting all those! 😮
Cake with sugar will make you drowsy. I had a strawberry shortcake at a gathering for three birthdays, and it wasn't sweet at all and no sugar crash. So many parcels! So many plants! Fun, it's way too hot here.
Your spending makes me look very frugal. I love plants but i love getting them on the cheap. Seeds, cuttings or swops.
Good that you live on your own Sean because no one is going to try and tidy up after you and spoil all our fun.😅
Happy summer solstice Sean 🌞 the roses are great specimens and really impressed with that company.
love the acer. It is a lovely memorial for dear Rusty. Sean, you should find yourself a plastic tub to put in the bath for soaking your plants. one of those lidded under the bed ones from Rubber maid would do. You do not want to be washing soil down the drain or it will soon get plugged.
I would still put some beans in, Sean. I nearly gave up this year as its been so cold. The runner beans are in pots and tubs so I can move them around to maximise the sunshine when we get some. Gardening is a battle of wits.... I am so pleased to see you looking happy in your new lifestyle. Thank you for sharing x
My cats love it when a fly gets inside. The cats notice them before I do, and they get a big kickout of hunting them.
Your new plants certainly look in good shape. Have you thought about opening the potentially messy boxes outside to save all that housework? 😀

The newer washing machine's have lots of options, like a space ship..I enjoy the simplicity of my older model $50.00 top load washer and $50.00 dryer...used but not abused. They have worked flawlessly 10 years now... They are a quick pair that get wash and dry done in about 35 mins. each. It could save $ on electricity. I can't imagine a 3 hr. wash cycle. Just a thought if you switch out sometime. Be careful the potting soil down the drain can eventually plug up the pipes..
I worked for Fryers roses in Knutsford for a couple of Autumn seasons lifting the rose trees for sending bare root. It was hard work in those fields in all weather. I also worked every summer through my teens at another nursery putting the rubber clips round the grafts of young rose briers as they were being budded. That was much easier in the sun although the bending didn't do my back any good.
Beautiful roses! 😊
I put my runners in several weeks ago as young plants, and they aren’t happy. Between the weather and the rabbits, I am thinking of re seeding. I don’t think it’s too late to put yours in.

How lovely Sean. Happy Summer Solstice too!❤❤❤ That Rusty Memorial maple Acer is gorgeous and the grasses too. Love the roses. Time for tea, a rest and clean up . Your breakfast looked yummy. Have a beautiful week ahead Sean. ❤❤❤
Northwind Grass! You will love it! Acer Orange Dream...I had in a former garden.. Beautiful.
It makes up my day watching Sean and his gardening escapades 👍
As an above average customer for the Royal Mail, as you are, l would have a stone cold drink to offer in the fridge in exchange with that postman who delivers during these hot spells, you can make them as random as the weather dictates, as driving around in a greenhouse, ( van) he would no doubt be shocked, but l imagine thankful for such thought. He has given you a heads up with his latest description, (a mountain). ( Buy the can of drink on a multipack promotion, there are loads about during this period).😉

Good morning Sean ☕ 🌄 it's a another beautiful day . And those beautiful plants are going to look amazing in Rusty's🐈 homestead . And also you have a new follower my neighbour he is 88 years old and he thinks you are so entertaining and a pleasure to watch And he says I can watch Sean all day 😁 with a nice cup of tea ☕😁. Have a great day 👋.
You need a trailer for your bike to transport to/from the Rusty homestead
Lovely plants I'm going to have a look at the websites. If i can just give one bit of advice. Acer do not like wind so if you have a bit of for it shelter its better. 🎉

Good evening Sean, you made me laugh with the 3 hour spin.bet the cats bedding came out bone dry! 😂 Wow the colour of that burning desire rose, it reminds me of a jumper you used to wear in the allotment video's, same sort of shade. The acer is going to look beautiful once its established itself, what a great tribute to rusty.hope the plants make it to the homestead safely and the weather is kind to you.we need to have Goldilocks weather, not too hot or too cold but just right! The homestead is going to look "blooming marvellous!"as always take care Sean 💜

Nice to see you have bought a plant ìn memory of Rusty for the Homstead. Your house is like my house someone is always knocking on my door with parcels. Not for me daughter, granddaughter, grandson. Amazon just be making loads of money out of them. They are at work, not at home ,so now I am retired the parcels come to my door.😂😂😅
Not this year, but I think I shall buy an orange Acer in memory of Rusty too. So many lovely plants Sean it really is like the Chelsea flower show right there in wales. 😂 ❤
Hello Sean just to say another enjoyable little blog, we loved the plants in the bath brilliant. Your plot is going to look very nice. By the way we sent you a fridge magnet from North Norfolk about 2 weeks ago, we think you should have it by now. Well all the best for now from Pat/Andy Norwich.

❤ To serve my own curiousity (as I am somewhat clueless to growing my own food...) I looked up what zodiac sign to moon should be in, to plant beans, & it said, Aries, Leo or Sagitarrius. As we are almost at a full moon - apparently good for sowing seeds (& I conform this as I've just got home from work & drove past a tractor in a field sowing stuff - so I'm guessing the farmers know what they are doing & it is an organic farm). The moon is today in Scorpio & tomorrow in Sagittarius, so I to will be sowing my beans & peas and all the stuff that forms from flowers. As I am somewhat behind on the sowing of my (hopefully bountiful) food ... Sean have you ever thought about getting a 'fish hook knife / tool" ppl use them in warehouses to open all the goods in stuff / boxes, & they are designed for the job, banding tape, rope, parcel tape, labels, envelopes, despatch invoices, heavy duty cardboard, the lot, better than a stanley knife as they have a depth to them so won't damage the contents beyond the packaging. Save your Stanley for other stuff like scoring perspex and precision cut on wood.
Oh the mess!! Beautiful plants though, especially Rusty's x
😂😂😂 a three hour spin!! It always seems like that lol a watched washing machine ever seems to end 🤣🤣🤣
Good morning Sean. I do enjoy my morning tea with you and your beautiful cottage and town. I get a strange homesick feeling when I see the village and the smiling faces and lovely shops. I grew up in Copenhagen and I loved that city when I was a child and I loved the countryside. I also am an avid lover of gardening, my old bones try to make me stay still but a plant will make me rise to plant in the garden. I wanted to mention that many a time I use my serrated bread knife to cut large or even small cardboard boxes. It does an amazing job if I can’t work with the box cutters. Also can I ask? Is the grandfather clock leaning? Is the floor making that happen or is the camera causing me to see this? I love the Rusty tree and intend to see if they can be acquired here in 🇨🇦. I would love that in my yard. Please know how much your videos make happiness spread through the tension that is social media these days. Thank you I throughly enjoy all of them.

Ooh I spy a wee hand cart at the end!
Just wondering... how are you going to transport all those plants to your homestead?
@seanjamescameron
15 күн бұрын
Find out in the video on Saturday ;-)
Well, if the delivery guy had been more careful with the transport of the package, the soil might have stayed in the pots.
It's a good job I live in Canada or I would be ordering plants every day, I miss the small village feel of living in England but I'm too settled here to move and most of my family have passed on. I did see a house for sale in my old village but they wanted 500,000 pounds !!!
They will all look wonderful, but first, the homestead could do with all the clutter, the previous tenants have left behind tidying up and taking to the recycling plant
I understand the frequent delivery issue very well. Delivery persons should like a familiar stop with multiple packages to clear from their queue at least. So I've read on amazon drivers subreddit anyway.
3 hours!

You’re accumulating a lot of cardboard, any restriction against using it as weed barrier on the homestead? I re-planted my remaining turnip seeds much further apart. My Japanese cucumber has fully leafed and is starting to expand. And I finally have visible watermelon seedlings in the large round tub I planted in. Sadly my purple sweet potato slips died due to my negligence in unboxing them. I’m definitely trying to take “Do a little. Do it often.” to heart but my body seems to be resisting.

You're on a roll...beautiful roses... looking forward to the rose show. Happy Summer solstice.
I have an orange dream acer and a rhapsody in blue rose. My blue moon rose mysteriously disappeared. However, I have a gloriously scented pink rambling rose which appeared out of nowhere a few years ago. Its now scrambling about 10 feet and seems very content in almost full shade. No idea where it came from, I suppose a bird may have dropped some seeds? Ive tried to take cuttings but its having none of it, ive had successful cuttings off most roses but never that one! Been trying since 2016 with no luck. Anyone any ideas ? 😊
Keep 5he cardboard it helps smother the weeds, why havent you dug up the garden put fertilizer in ready to plant your flowers, how will you get all your pllants to the homestead. Turn off the machine, it will go back to normal
