This Koenig Specials 560 SEC is the nicest car in our Mercedes Collection! The 320HP just arrived from Princess Cars in Abu Dhabi. Koenig Specials is known for its crazy widebody builds that embody the 80s Miami Vice era, and this bright red C126 Koenig 560 SEC is no exception. This Mercedes C126 began its life in Germany before making its way to Japan. It then went to Princess Cars in Abu Dhabi, where it got a tune and some other engine work, along with the red paint job it has today. We haven't been able to stop driving it since it arrived! The naturally aspirated, 320 horsepower M117 Mercedes engine is so responsive and the quad-exhaust is MEAN. We've got a lot of Koenigs and a lot of rare tuner Mercedes, but the mint condition combined with the loud look and nasty exhaust note, make this Mercedes 560 SEC one of the nicest in the Patina Collective Mercedes collection!

What a KS, INSANE. No words... This is called REVOLUTION, the entire team of the Patina, the work and the passion of these videos, is too crazy man. Dopalicious. I was just talking about Koenig Specials the other day and explaining to my girlfriend what they were and are today. Koenig was turbo charging and tuning 1000+ HP cars way ahead of their time and setting what is considered a benchmark today. Now hypercars are 1000+ HP but to accomplish this in the 80s was phenomenal. These Koenig Specials are still relevant today. I especially like the red on red testarossas they did. This SEC is baller status even in the 2000s.

I remember seeing those for sale in The Robb Report magazine back in the 80's. Those and the AMG Hammers, wide body 560 SELs on Ronal 5 stars, or 3 piece BBS RS wheels back when 18" wheels was all you needed to look amazing. I also remember the Koenig Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche 928, Jaguar XJ-S, all for sale brand new. I don't care how great new super/hyper cars are today, the 80's and early 90's is where its at for me.

Insane car & video ! thanks ! Tuning in the 80s was Extreme & Unique, Koenig was king of Tuning to build unicorns, those cost double the price of a Testarossa or Countach at the time

Iconic Tuner and this is a superb example to the collection. Yes refurb the wheels to gold centres Be nice to get a lineup of the KS collection in a park setting - make a great framed pic for my study as this has never been done before and i am sure many other would appreciate it too Really digging your vids & the 80's theme music - keep them coming!!! Greeting Patina Collective! Amazing content. I remember seeming some of these creations in magazines and now to see them get driven so awesome! Does anyone remember the original new car smells on Benzs? What caused them have that special scent? Was it the leather or something else in the interior? I heard it was the glue they used but not sure if it’s true.

I have a 560 sec sitting in my backyard it’s my dream to fix it up and at the moment don’t have the money nor the motivation seeing this makes me want it more. Any advice or suggestions you have to get my dream going once again?
The first Koenig Special I saw where in my neighborhood 30 years ago. I was boy and felt in love, but all the other people said this car is only for pimps and drug lords. 10 years ago nobody want to drive or buy these cars and so I missed many chances to buy some for cheap. I owned a Rieger very wide body car with 3pc BBS more then 20years ago and sold it for bit more then 1000 Euro. If I would find a nice Koenig or similar I would think about a Motor swap to a M119(ME) oder M113K with all the assitant systems to build a perfect daily car. If I get it right you also bought the one from Hakan in Berlin, right?

Japan just doesn't give a fuck. That's what I've always loved about their car culture. They do it their way....the more ridiculous, the better. This koenig reminds me so much of their bosozoku car culture. From the wide, elongated boxy flares, to the crazy ass lambo gills. That thing is the epitome of gangster. Rather push that than any modern day lambo down the strip.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!
