I was born in 1991, and really started experiencing life in early 2000s. The more and more I learn about 80s and 90s - I realize how cool those years were, and how lucky people were to spend their adolescence and young adulthood in those days.

I love dressing like I'm from either the 80s 90s or 70s It's what they call being *aesthetic* 💕🎀

The thing is. In 1980 it was still basically the late 70s. The real 80s started around late 1982 early 1983

well you could use a walkman instead of that giant radio

We had raves in the 80s here in the UK. Most of what is played at a rave these days was from the 80s and 90s. Landlines are still very common, its a cheap way to get unlimited broadband and if you live out in the sticks where mobile coverage can be difficult its useful. Some things have changed, others not as much as some like to think it has.

@@TheReach2riz Seems like the majority of the most iconic music, movies, and TV shows came out then. I'd say socializing was also better in some ways as I figure that being more forced to get out of the house and actually go see people would have made for far less people with social anxiety and few friends, since today everything can be simulated with much more ease than ever before its way more common for people to stay inside all day now. Now more people than ever have depression and feel they have no one to turn to since social media is the main way people communicate now. It makes it extremely hard for people to really develop close bonds with people. I imagine the 80s specifically would've been best to grow up in with so many amazing cartoons coming out that are still really relevant today, which goes to show how iconic they are. I think having good parents that could really help their kids live a good life by teaching them good social skills and helping them find what they are passionate about and push them to pursue some sort of career in it would make growing up in any decade great, but the 80s would've been special man. The 80s definitely had the most iconic pop culture to date, and I imagine developing social skills by being more forced out of the house then would've been great.
