John Travolta? Are you kidding? If you're gonna have Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, you have to have Christopher Reeve as Superman. Everything else is spot on.

When I saw that you had Sylvester Stallone as Black Adam I thought that Arnold would be Shazam due to their rivalry at the time. Plus he did start doing comedy’s so it would work.

You don't always have to base these on the DCEU. Frankly, I'm curious to see a fan cast of bat villains specifically. Side note : please make Matthew Perry as the Riddler

I like Jodie Foster as Harley but maybe Arnold should be Solomon Grundy not Hawkman. Also would of loved to see Swamp Thing played by Dick Durock fight Anton Arcane played by Vincent Price.

Don’t know why you’d want anyone other than Christopher Reeve as a 1980s Supes unless he’s unavailable. Can understand wanting James Earl Jones on board fur the voice but Keith David or Delroy Lindo make more sense for MM. good call on Michael Biehn

That was fun, though there are a few I disagree with... Carl Wethers as Cyborg. -He would have been in his 40s in the 1980s, so already too old. Arnold as Hawkman -Not a fan of the idea, but I could live with it if we'd gotten this film. Jim Carrey as Captain Marvel -No. Absolutely not. He was BORN to play Plastic Man. I'm actually about 85% sure that if the multiverse is real, then Jim Carrey is actually our reality's quantum counterpart of Patrick "Eel" O'Brian. Michael J Fox as Robin, Keanu Reeves as Nightwing -I don't any problem with the casting of Reeves as Nightwing, (Actually LOVE the idea), but Fox would be WAY too old to play Robin, especially with Reeves as Nightwing. Fox is 3 years older than Reeves. Assuming this was set in 1985 (Middle of the 80s), Fox would be 23 and Reeves 20. Also, this would mean that Fox would be playing Jason Todd, and I can't actually see him playing somebody that much of an angry little asshole. Ken Norton as Steel -Uhm.... No. Let's keep this to characters who actually existed in the 80s. Steel wasn't even introduced until 1993. (There were other characters with the same hero name of "Steel", but this video is clearly using the John Henry Irons version.) That said, I do like the design used for the second photo of the character, I could see that style working if they'd been able to introduce the character in the Christopher Reeves Superman-universe. Alan Rickman as Lex Luthor If we're doing a historic dream casting, let's not mess with Alan Rickman's glorious hair when Telly Savalas is around. Willem Dafoe as The Joker We only want this now because he's been so -good- -great- -awesome-... *F**#CK**!NG MAGNIFICENT* as Green Goblin. (Seriously. For playing a superhero genre secret ID switch, I put Dafoe on equal terms with only Christopher Reeve and James McAvoy) Jodie Foster as Harley Quinn -Again, the character didn't exist yet. John Rhys-Davies as Darkseid -Uhm... No. Just No. Darkseid shouldn't have a beard and John Rhys-Davies can't exist without one. It would violate time space more than the omega effect. David Prowse as Braniac -Or, get rid of the armor and have him smile. He'd make a decent Martian Manhunter too. Ally Sheedy as Stargirl -Didn't exist yet.

Most of them don't even look like the actor they are meant to portray. And their already was an 80s Batman, Superman, Joker, and Wonder Woman.

You can tell whoever made this didn't know the state of the comic world back then. There's JSA members instead of JLA members, members like Steel, that were not even created yet, and characters like Peacemaker that were still owned by Charlton Comics.

Not bad, a lot of these are actually really interesting. Though they're not terrible for the parts, I just don't see John Travolta as Superman, and can't see Harrison Ford as Batman. I'll always say Willem Dafoe would have been--and still could be--a great Joker. Sly Stallone should only play King Shark and that's all there is to that. No way he's Black Adam. I think Dolph Lundgren would have been a good Aquaman back in the day. Lynda Carter always is Wonder Woman. Jeff Goldblum as Constantine was certainly an interesting take and I'm here for that. Wesley Snipes screams Black Manta to me. Never thought about Tom Cruise as The Flash, but that got me thinking a little about that one and maybe he would be just fine...at least he would run correctly!

Some of these castings are cringe while some characters (Harley Quin) weren’t even around at the time while others were the wrong age. Plus, 80’s we already had a Superman and Batman casted to most considered the best.
