You never regret something that you built. In truth you had a vision/dream and made it come true. I’m doing a similiar thing as you, and taking a lot of inspiration from your build. 2014 R/T Challenger Blacktop M6 (bought brand new in July 2014. $24k. Being a 6speed so it’s a proper drivers car not a drag racer. I’m staying NA for obvious reasons. I’d love to stroke it to 392/410 but my current parts are BBK long tubes with matching high flow cat mid pipes (not yet installed), Volant closed box CAI, Skip shift eliminator, custom 3” cat back system 3”Jones Xpipe-3”Cherry bomb M80, rear resonator delete, Pypes old school 3” square angle cut quad tips black, SRT demon replica wheels gloss black 9” front with 275 Arturo AZ850 10.5” rear 22mm offset with 315 AZ850 on rear. Diablo 91 octane tune via I3. About to get a Texas speed stage 3 cam installed along with headers then tuned by High PSI Performance in Harper Heights TX. I wish I had the funds for a ported 392 manifold install but just not there. On the interior I went with a carbon fiber theme to match my gunslinger 1970’s Hurst pistol grip (which I will be mating to a Beaton shifter for OEM handle) Once that is done I’ll build up funds for the stroker/full forged with 392 manifold, since I’m staying NA I’ll go with an ATI under drive pulley. After those mods I intend to go 1 piece driveshaft and possibly changing the 3.92 to 4.10. Living in Texas I’ll need/want to upgrade cooling system with Mishimoto radiator but won’t drop below 180tstat

Take it from a mopar mechanic I tell everyone the same thing. If you want a fun daily that's loud and has some pep get and can built over time. Get an r/t if you want an out the box fun muscle car and don't wanna out any more money or time in it get a scat. Half my shop has 5.7 powered cars, and almost all of us have done something to them. We just dropped a stage 3 cam and a bunch of other trash bin parts on an old 2011 ram. Fucker is making 400 to the wheels and my coworker only has 2100 in it. And 1k of it was the dyno tune price. Just depends what you want to do you can make a 5.7 fast like u can a 5.3 LS

The most important thing is that YOU built this car for YOU. I know ass well it's a lot of work and especially, given the cost of late model Mopar parts, expensive. I've done much the same on our '14 Chrysler 300C 5.7 hemi car with a lot of bolt-on accessories, and a good hot tune in the PCM really woke this car up and made it run pretty hard for a "baby hemi" engine. It is a sleeper for sure now. Thanks for a cool video and good review of your '15 Charger, the mainstay of your channel! Drive it like ya stole it!

Well said. I have a 2021 Widebody Challenger Scat Pack R/T 392 T/A with a 6-speed Tremec Manual and I am very happy with it. I've thought about installing a Hellcat supercharger on it just for the sake of that Hellcat supercharger whine, and the added horsepower, but I can't justify it. With the traction control on, I unintentionally get the backend to step out and it has so much pull in those first 3 gears. That 6.4 liter is no joke and it will bite you in the ass if you're not careful. That is why I can't justify adding that supercharger (at least right now).

You really have me thinking about starting a KZread channel with my build. I have a 2011 RT that's been sitting for almost 3yrs because of this performance shop that screwed me over and life happening (wife, kids, new house, losing a couple of jobs etc). Now I'm getting back on my feet and found a performance shop that specializes on Mopar but I'm hesitant. Watching your videos help a lot man. Hopefully I find the courage to jump into this.

I think the reason why i started following your channel was because i have 2015 acharger RT as well. Just no where nearrrr your build lol Your charger RT is such a badass car and hope you never sell it. Keep it forever. Also! Would you consider putting the Mopar Hood pins on the hood? I just now discovered them since they created them for the Super Bee edition chargers. Be cool to see on it. #MoparOrNoCar

Nice! My initial plans for my '23 RT Daytona have been met so far after less than 3 months of ownership. Nothing earth shattering, just a custom painted engine cover , catch can, 345 Mopar fender badges ( not cheepie Amazon knock-offs), trunk lid R/T emblem and a (as yet to be installed) 3.09 Mopar LSD. I'm not looking to make this a long involved custom build like yours, especially since I'm already 69 years young! Maybe some 275 size tires is next on the stock 9 inch rear wheels. It'll see some occassional 1/4 mile drag strip action on T&T events, some cars & coffee get togethers and maybe even some local car shows ( just because). The main thing is it's paid for with no car payments. Being a "Last Call" model, It'll probably never get the engine opened up or made any stronger, not even bolt ons.It is ( at least for now) plenty quick, fast, and loud enough for me.

Sweet build man. Been here since day 1. I share the same sentiments about starting from scratch on this platform. Do I regret it? No. But would I do it again? That's not as easy to answer.

Hellcat money spanks the hell out of a hellcat and has sentimental value into it. I definitely agree and recommend building a car at least once as an enthusiast just to experience the feeling when it's "done".

Man, HELL YEAH it's worth it, that's the whole point of hot rodding! Cars like yours are the ones I usually don't "F" with because you don't know what's under the hood. RTs in particular are the Dodge version of a wolf in sheep's clothing, since you could buy one, like a 2015, strip the badges, mod the motor and troll the heck out of people.

  • @TwoLuckii

I love Scat Packs, and I want one. Only thing is the price, especially compared to the amount of money I currently make, so I can only afford an R/T. But when I see videos of modified R/T Chargers/ Challengers, it pushes me to get one instead. Especially for the fact that “slightly” modified R/T can keep up with a stock 392, for less money.
