@@DrKonekotypically it’s rent, utilities & just overall cost of living & providing for a family. A lot of the time men are expected to provide, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the only one working but ofc it can, but they are expected to make more money & be the main financial provider of the house. With how inflation has gone in the past up until now it makes it a bit harder for someone making average & even slightly above average salary to do their more expensive hobbies that they’d like to enjoy. salaries have only on average 2x’d & inflation trumps that by a bit on housing at least it has 10x’d & that alone is all that’s really needed to shift middle class people to lower class people, etc etc.

When that thing fired up on the 2nd crank I was absolutely joyful. Also a manual swap and man feeling the slick gear changes as I’m feeling out the new motor was a wonderful feeling, especially as you realize everything is working like factory and no bad smells or warning lights!

When I have physical pain, I literally pray and the Lord quells it, that I am healed!! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! I remove broken studs from ls heads every week. Just set a new nut over the hole and fill it with weld and they come right out. Works better than any other option out there.

I love how some youtubers like weston and rich rebuilds make engine swaps look easy. But you guys go through not only the easy stuff but the issues that come with engine swapping

I don't think Rich Rebuilds makes any swap look easy. He explains the amount of work it took to put a LS in a Tesla and make it look good.

For sure. As someone who's looking at getting his first miata, I cannot overstate the value of an honest look at car work. It's sobering and encouraging and educational.

This episode reminds me of the engine/transmission swap I did on my 2k Silverado. The biggest difference is I did everything by myself and I do mean everything.

I think the intake manifold sticking out of the low-car is honestly a redeeming factor. Some may hate it, but I think it fits the low-car, and gives it that self made style and swagger. The hi-car, while still awesome, just looks more pro made, like not someone at home made it, but still looks cool.

yeah i love it when the aesthetic is slipping into that "functional jank" range. it just has a great feeling that really fits the low-car spirit.

I am not a car expert by any stretch of the imagination but, to me, it feels like sticking the intake in front of the radiator is not the best idea in the world. I mean, it might be fine, presumably they didn't have any issues with cooling.. but I feel there is definitely going to be lower air pressure in front of the radiator with that setup.

@@derpnerpwerp You ever seen 350z intake kits ?? Thats where the filters are in front of radiator....

  • @derpnerpwerp

@lordzed83 from what I see online they are placed adjacent to the radiator, not directly in front of it. But apparently they do sell after market air intake vents to place over the grill. Which I would feel is preferable to breathing air that has passed over the radiator Anyway, like I said.. I'm sure it's probably fine.. it just seems suboptimal to me as a laymen. I know most of the cars I've owned just sucked air in from the engine compartment (these were trucks and you could see the ground under the hood so... now I own an 86)

haha stop overcomplicating engine swaps they arnt that hard coming from someone that has done a few and can make a custom full harness for a car himself. We are in the age of the internet unless your doing someone really wierd there is all the information to pull it off.
