"80's Daydream" | 1984 Datsun 300ZX Z31
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
My partner, Alan Edgecombe has been restoring his 80's Datsun 300zx for a few years now and I've been alongside him watching the whole process. Although it has been an incredibly long project, it was definitely worth it. Alan has transformed that car from a close-to-death rust box to an amazing smart sports car - as it should be. He is very talented and I am very proud of what he has produced, so that's why I wanted to create a short film for him. So, this film portrays Alan and his Datsun where he explains the process of the build and how it makes him feel. I've captured his happiness for the car as he drives it, and the film also shows how proud he actually is of himself for building it, which he should be! I think this film proves that if you work hard enough at something you want to achieve, then eventually it will happen, just don't give up!

These cars will put a smile on your face. I miss my 86T.
Great car. 86T here.
I just wanna come back with an update to my previous comment I made a year ago. I finally got the Z31 barnfind of mine back on track and today I got it hauled to a shop I work in and got her to run and idle for a short while. This video kinda gives me some of the motivation I need to keep working on that car and breathe new life into it. Seeing what it could be with some time and hard work. She deserves the road again.
Thought I was the only one who called the 84 a Datsun!💕
Beautiful. Older cars were so much more creative with the efforts they put in
Dude that is one f the nicest 300zx I’ve seen. Sounds great too
Had mine going on 25 years.... Still amazing every time I have a chance to take her out for a ride!
I am about to buy an 85 300zx NA with 37,000 miles on it. Wish me luck
Badass video, I love my z31 and this video made me even more proud to be a part of the community
I miss mine 😭 had a burgundy 84 and a black 86. I wish I still had them. Maybe one day I’ll have the money to buy another.
I have a Z31 2+2 in excellent condition with 81k on the clock, I love it nd drive it every week..
You seem to be born in the 90s yet you love the 80s.

I just recently found a barn 300zx Z31 and because of my dad I always grew up with a passion for cars. I’m currently trying to resurrect her. Won’t let a car like that rot.
Awesome car, my boss has a project 1984 300zx that I'm thinking of buying from him. After this vid I might have to :)
Awesome! I drift a z31
WOW I have a 87T model but i love yours too lol, I love the story that you told and the Video editors was awesome 👏 bruh... Great Stuff, hopes their more
Great video.. Now if the damn snow would go away i could get mine out of the barn too.
There are two types of guys who work on cars: "I could never have done this without all the support from my friends and family." And "How much did they hurt you?" "Enough."
I can't decide if these are good looking or not. You may be pushing me towards the affirmative. Nice whip.

Liking the reference to Risky Business at 1m35. Loving the car!
Hey. I watched your video before I bought one. I really love mine too. I smile every time I look at it too.
Cool Z31 I have got an 83 model special edition (shadow) from my pop but it also has holes were they should not be but I am slowly doing it up but cool car
Grand job...Cheers!
This is incredible! You’re so clever. Absolute boss of a car too 😍
Beautiful car mate congrats! I used to own a z31 (wish I still did) it was a manual turbo targa top, I loved it. The only thing I wish it was the short wheel base model like yours. Here in Australia we only got the 2+2 version
Bro, great video! Im buying one this weekend and im so excited.
I am Happy abut your vidio clip..l like car Nissan 300zx

Beautiful car, and great Vid! ... Can you please measure your oil dipstick for me? Bought an 86T and the stick was broken and cant find a replacement anywhere. I'll fab one up once I have the measurements, otherwise I'm terrified to drive it :(

Very well film Although why would you buy a left hand drive in the UK? Very odd

Maybe just for having something different? I would hop on a right-hand drive car in the states in a heartbeat! Different can be fun!

The uk market only received 2+2 long wheel base models, this was the only option other than import one from Japan and I didn't have that kinda money haha. Plus left hand drive is more interesting in the uk for sure.
how difficult was it to shave off the license plate holder? looks so good
Where did you find the 4 lug wheels I’m having a lot of trouble finding some for mine
Bbs!!!:)
very fucking cool
I feel same way. Nissan 300zx turbo
Nice. It was my favourite car until the z32 came along in 1990.
What exhaust is that?

It's a custom straight through to back box, running MSA manifold.
Can you tell me the size for the wheels rims please
Every cliche in the book
People wear driving gloves? 😂
Good cinematography, but your microphone sucks, and the music is an annoyance.
