My little boy is Ira! people get excited when they hear it and often tell me its their grandpa's name 😂

A few vintage names in my family are Lumina for a girl (my great great grandma), Kenten pronounced Kan-ten. This is a French name. Eudor for a boy pronounced Ew-door.

My son is 20 months and his name is Wolfgang. My husband is German and the w is pronounced like an english v instead of the english w. We call him wolfie for short ❤

Waitt Kamp as a first name? That’s kinda cool tho! I’ve seen it more as a common last name (kamp/van de kamp/van der kamp/etc) and it can also mean “camp” when you translate it to English ☺️

I think Ignatius sounds like it would be the name of a strong and very good man. I've always pronounced it like Ig-nay-shuss though. I think Iggy would be a cute nickname.

Two of my great grandmother’s were Elveretta & Goldie. My grandpa was named Rene (pronounced Reen) and one great grandfather had the name Wayne and my other had the middle name Bramwell. I love all of their names!

I just met a girl named Royce and I looove it!

In my family the boy names I liked were Russel (I love Russ for short), Garnet, Dean, Mack, Harold, Merle, James. And there were some pretty unusual interesting girls names. Zelma, Alberta, Ivadell, Constance, Marlin

I love Winship, Clifford and Asa and Arvil.In my family we have the family names Franklin and Freelander for boys.

Eep I submitted Darlow! It was my grandfathers middle name. He was Christopher Darlow. My great grandpa was Morgan, which at the time was very unusual, his sister Thora as well! I named my son BADEN, I Found it in my family tree from 1900 and instantly fell in love! I’m guessing it came from to founder of the scouts Baden-powel. Its German and means bather or to bathe, it’s also a German town. I’m also pregnant with twins, a girl and a boy and I’m naming them karys and kaleb which are both vintage names

I had a great-great aunt named Ora-Jane, and I always thought hers was such a cute old-South name😂 And not something you’d hear often today!

Elton always makes me think of Alicia Silverstone's character in Clueless saying, "God Elton, can't you suck?" It isn't as rude as it may sound! Clueless was a modernisation of Jane Austen's Emma. Elton was Clueless's version of Austen's Mr Elwood :)

My grandpa was “Gordon” and I plan to name my future son “Gordie”.
