8 y/o Laptop Vs $500 Everyday Use Laptop Vs $600 Gaming Laptop

Ойын-сауық

After 8 years, it’s time to upgrade to a newer device. I purchased an EVERYDAY USE laptop and the cheapest GAMING LAPTOP I could find on Amazon and here’s what I found out.

Hi sweetie. That should be no problem at all for modern STD's, he is probably using a USB 1.1 port or an iphone lightning cable instead of the proper settlement's cabling in the south of France.

I never claimed to be an expert on anything. I was just comparing my old laptop to the two new laptops that I purchased. I thought i could do that so see how fast the SSD read and write speed and not the computer speed?. If you could point me out on the right direction to make a better video in the future, I would appreciate it as I am always willing to learn...

Oh and in case you have to use a system which isn't as well performing. When you want to transfer 200GBs of data between drives, it's usually better/faster to do it in smaller chunks. Depending on the SSD there are different size of cache memory on the SSD from 0 to much more, which affects the speed of the SSD when transferring large files. Also when you transfer a lot, the SSD can over heat and slow down. Depending again on the SSD and any cooling solution it might have. Usually for more budget systems/drives, there is not even a simple cooling solution for the SSD. Add to the possibly cache less drive and you have terrible speeds when transferring several GBs at once. Same if you happen to use mechanical drives, though for different reasons. So if for example you have 200GBs of data, try to do it in chunks of 20GB of 15GB. If you check the time it will tell you far less time to transfer them this way than all in one go. That's it. Take care.

Addressing fluctuations was resolved for me by using a high-quality cable and ensuring I had the latest up-to-date driver. However, obtaining the correct updated driver proved to be a significant challenge.

@@lucifermorningstar2154 If the cable is of the right specifications and not damaged, it shouldn't make any difference. Cheap or expensive, high quality or not. It's digital, it doesn't matter. For the updated driver bit, I am not sure I understand. Driver for what exactly in this case?

Thank you! That is my plan, but I'll have to wait until the warranty expires as they will not cover the laptop if anything happens to it if I modified it. For now, I have a Samsung T7 2TB to compensate for the lack of internal SSD.

Just wondering, ¿For the type of work that you do, isn't it better to build a desktop pc?

I don't know much about computers. I was just doing a "quick" side by side comparison between the 3 laptops. My plan is to buy the cheapest laptop that would work for the day to day basic use and in 3 years, I would sell it for half I paid for and buy a new laptop. That's my plan, but, is it better to build and spend all that money? I also need the device to be light so i can carry it with me when we travel.

These are ugly laptops. why do you not buy good laptops like an HP HDX 9000 from 2007 it was 20 inches. 20 inches is a lot of inches, do you think you could handle that many inches? It'd be like a horse i'd think! So what do you do for a living? for me I work at an orange juice factory in Alaska. We grow all our Oranges up here and press them into the most wonderful orange juice on the planet. God bless and remember always wash your bottom after you dump.

I am using the laptop to edit videos. I'm not even using it to play games. I just thought this has the computing power to weight ratio despite the fact that it is $150 bucks over my budget. I am a law enforcement officer for Clark County NV. I'm jealous because I love to grow fruit trees but we can barely grow anything here in the desert.
