You deserved the win in the end, outplayed us and were the better side by a mile. Our goalie saved us from a 5/6 goal embarrassment. Got to say though, the ref was awful today, some of the decisions he gave were very odd. Anyway, well done on the win, and I can see you lot going on to win the play offs now.

I totally agree I was pleased for the split second when Andi Wiemann (thought he’d) Scored he politely raised his hands in almost apology for scoring after the eight years he was here. If it wasn’t for your keeper today it could have been more. I’m really pleased we won that today without Grealish & Mings two real key players for us. iKyliexz Cheers pal that’s cool of you to say that👏🏻👏🏻 To be fair he did the same against Swansea this season when he scored the winner. He done an interview On our website recently saying how much he loves playing for the Villa today was his 24th if the season he’s flying for us. Like I said I was pleased to see Wiemann’s somber celebrations (or so he thought) I think we’ve pretty much wrapped up 5th now with Bolton away Friday then Millwall at home bank holiday Monday. Do you guys think you can get 5th❓ Even with your game in hand win it we’d still be above you. There are a few teams chasing you Boro, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday. Up The Villa

I thought Weiman was just offside, but a fine margin and if the other way round, would be gutted. As for the “penno”, just looked like a hourihane handball! That said, we’ve had so many poor reffing decisions this season, we were due some luck.

Great start to Sunday Max. My wife and I were in the Doug Ellis Upper at Holte end of ground - great view of 2nd half action. Shout out for El Ghazi - he skinned their right back time after time and made the pass through to Hourihane for his goal. Their goalie was amazing - could have been 5 - 1. UTV!

The atmosphere in the first half was very disappointing. The fans need to get behind the club no matter what, especially in a sold out stadium.

I stand ( yes stand) in the lower north and bit by bit the holte end is regaining life again after some horrible years. There is some great new chants and the love for the club is flowing again. But your comments are true and the players are performing and now so should the supporters.

Hi chaps, I was in the lower north stand at the Bristol game and I can assure you our lads played really well in that first half and calved out three golden chances and should have been winning at half time easily. It was great to see the team play well and create so many class chances with out super jack and mighty mings. Well done villa it's a pleasure to come along and support the team at the moment.

Can't judge him on one game, even if he was pretty good although he pushes shots aside rather than catching them and that is dangerous, so definitely room for improvement especially if he is young! UTV

As a city fan (I was there) I thought the better team won in the end. But I have to say that’s the worst ref I’ve seen in the last few years according to BBC that ref booked us 6 times in 13 fouls which is ridiculous

This team is pure class was at game today and was just so impressed cmon the villa
