What about low income or income restricted apartments for those who need housing and can't afford 2000-2500 a month?

I wouldn't suggest moving to one of the most expensive cities then
This market makes me understand squatters in a way I do not have the words to explain
Are these rules specific to Boston the city? What about surrounding suburbs, mainly for security deposits and broker fees, is it generally the same?
Weird that most of the country does just fine without broker fees and agents being injected into the process.

It depends; they don't always come furnished, but some do. Sometimes furnished options are available for short term rentals. What areas and price points are you interested in? I can see what furnished options are available

anywhere around Northeastern. My budget is $750- $800 I don't mind sharing with another International student.

@@freddieadjei3876 Sorry to butt in, but with your budget, sharing is likely to be the only affordable way to go. Somewhere along one of the T-lines to downtown would be cheaper. Like most Universities, Northeastern student service might be able to help you find a place or room-mates. One of the grad students in my building was complaining about getting to NU because the commuter line bypasses the station requiring going into Boston and changing to a subway line; Green and Orange lines serve NU, but the connection is the problem as is the scheduling.
