So do I 😂 I also have a couple of other artists I follow I do the same with. It’s the calmness in your/their voices. Four English (one male) and one Australian
Your rock technique is fantastic. So quickly the “blobs” became realistic rock formations. Perfect. Thank you for sharing your expertise! You are a wonderful teacher and an amazing artist!

Ciao and Merry Christmas Karen
Great video, Karen! Discovering the concept of using a limited color palette has genuinely transformed the way I approach watercolor painting. A suggestion to simplify choices by narrowing down the color options is, indeed, a game-changer. It's fascinating how this approach not only reduces choice paralysis but also fosters a more intuitive painting process.

Thank you so much for sharing that, I totally agree!
Your style is amazing. I am glad to see these paintings without pencil. I was trained as a pencil artist but I gave it up cause it felt boring, but seeing paintings like this is amazing, exciting, and also surprising. I particularly like this style with NO pencil. I will be studying all your videos in detail, was also wondering if you have a book on this style with no pencil. Is it considered "free form"? And was wondering if this NO pencil style is mostly always done wet on wet? Even your paintings with a pencil used as outline are very dreamlike and beautiful in a creative way. Something that is often not the case in a lot of styles I see. Your work shows that there are ways to use a pencil and still make the painting a painting and not just a drawing of a photograph so am keeping and open mind, but I am mostly interested in this style that only uses a paint brush. I got water colors a month ago and have done about 150 paintings, nothing good, but I am mostly practicing and your paints are by far the most inspiring. That Milky Way painting is one of the most incredible things I ever saw. Do you have any advice for developing a style that uses NO pencil and just the paint brush? Thank you

Wonderful video. I bought some watercolors on a whim and painted some simple Christmas cards. I struggle with knowing when to keep adding and when to stop. I'm not "creative" at all but am enjoying the process.

Thank you for another inspiring tutorial. You’re so positive, encouraging and generous with your tips on techniques. They’re all very useful, to me the most important will probably be the “don’t become a slave of the photograph” one. I wish you a happy Christmas and festive season. Francesca
