I've lived here for 20 years and I love it. Amazing shopping, very low crime and very clean. It's also close to Toronto. Wonderful city.
No regret moved from TO to Misissauga my old hometown, Nice Very clean city and lot of free parking.
I have lived in Mississauga my whole life and yes the housing prices have gone insane but they have gone insane everywhere. The city is very safe and lots of free parking but the demographic has definitely changed since I was a kid, which is not a bad thing but it is definitely become very crowded. I love Mississauga but you definitely need a car to get around.
I moved to Mississauga from Nothern Ontario a year ago and I love it here. Here's some other things I'd add: -It's very close to the Pearson Airport -There are a ton of good paying factory jobs in the northern part of the city heading into Brampton -1 hour drive to Niagara Falls and bridge to USA Also, coming from Northern Ontario, the winters here are SO much more bearable than they are up north.

mississauga is all built around driving culture, if you don't drive, you'll have a horrible time. there's very little walkability, little nightlife, and the transit is just ok.
@emanaqeel5964
2 жыл бұрын
agreed, except the transit is probably the best in comparison with other ones ive experienced. although I drive now, during my younger years I bussed quite a bit, and busses never came late and maybe 1/100 busses wouldnt show, compared to other cities in the GTA, miway transit is definitely the best. nightlife is dead unless you're into bars around square one or port credit.

Great video! Thanks for the tips!
I love living here. It's got a relatively mild climate with long hot summers. It is very expensive but the city is very clean and has awesome shopping. Compared to States and Provinces in the prairie regions the winters are short and very mild, the chances of having a white Christmas are maybe 30%.
Excellent video! We eat out a lot as we are foodies and enjoy various cuisines: Best Friend/Congee Queen for Cantonese, Thai Signature/Thai House 2 for amazing Thai food, Bar Catalina for Spanish food, Maranello's for delicious sandwiches, Port Credit Social House/Roc'n Doc's for music and Burger fare, Solstice/Piatto/Casalinga for fine Italian cuisine, Momji/Tomo/Hinote for Japanese fare and our Summer fav Texas Longhorn for patio Beer & Wings.

Not only is housing expensive but property taxes are ridiculously high when compared to the rest of the GTA. Nevertheless, its an amazing city and in the end, you get what you pay for.
Live by City Centre and it’s funny to watch the crazyness of cars trying to park in Square One mall especially on the weekends, while I easily walk around it back home lol. The convenience 😌
Port Credit was lost 5 years ago with turning the area into a loud bar/restaurant area and Brampton has discovered Port Credit, killing it.

Great video! Thank you! How about moving to Kitchener?
I was born in North York Toronto, 80's child here. I live in Hamilton ON during the long Winter season the weather is usually colder in the bigger cities then where I live. But in the Spring, Summer, and beginning of Fall it's sometimes warmer then Hamilton. I don't think I could live in a big city, I can't stand being stuck in traffic stopping and going every 5 seconds or standstill I would lose my mind.
I love the Go train. I live inMontreal and enjoyed my stay in Niagara Falls and Toronto.

moved out of mississauga in 2019 after 28 years there. dont miss it at all. well, maybe a handful of restaurants and ethnic food stores. Surely dont miss stop signs every 10 sec, traffic lights every 30 sec. Traffic became horrendous, car insurance cost is outrages.
Good video, and the Indian Food is outstanding. Also worth pointing out about the UP Express, Toronto Pearson to Union Station in 20 minutes. One small point, isn't your shirt inside out? 😁😁
Two things you need to know..if you are rich move to Mississauga..If you are poor...keep driving..don't stop.. move to London Ontario or Windsor.

I’m moving from Toronto to Port Credit. It’s an upheaval because I’ve not moved in 20 years
Oh nice, I see that you were filming across the street from my apartment building... lol. Mississauga's an okay enough city to live in but can be quite boring. I always find myself going into Toronto proper to escape the monotony. The only nice areas are Port Credit and Streetsville, which you can get tired of visiting after awhile. Businesses close too early, no real nightlife. And no real job opportunities here, unless you're content working in a factory.
With no subway system going to Toronto those housing rental and buying prices are ridiculous
OMG i grew up in Mississauga and I can not imagine living there
@MR-fx9gg

@Salty C No it's not disgusting at all. It's a clean and great place to raise a family. It's just so incredibly boring. Toronto is also a beautiful city and has so much to offer. What do you find so disgusting about Mississauga?
What a great video on mississauga. Although it gives such a great marketing video of Mississauga - I must say that the neighboring cities are far better as Mississauga is extremely crowded. You will face long lines at the grocery stores, a lot of traffic on the streets, schools not as well equipped with resources, condos with high maintenance fees, etc. Transit within the city is not as good however the GO train is a great option but that only gives you access to downtown. As he mentioned job opportunities are really good as there are a lot of companies there, one needs to realize a lot of people from other communities also take up jobs in Mississauga which contributes to more difficulty in obtaining jobs as it's more competitive and it also contributes to more traffic. Overall it's a nice city but getting more crowded and I'm noticing it's not as clean as it used to be in the early 2000s. Other things about Mississauga is Square One mall which I would say is probably one of the best malls in the GTA.
You didn’t mention the price of 2 bedroom apartments !!
The first thing you should know. If you want an affordable, safe community, RUN! And don't look back!
I like your "DAD" tattoo.
Mississauga does not have a motorcycle dealership. It has no Ethiopian restaurants either. Aside from those shortcomings, it is a nice place.

How much is the median income?
Housing, finding a good job/income, and living costs are extremely challenging, but the rest is fine!
