There is still the issue that most men are afraid of. A woman could display these signs, and if the man reacts suddenly he is in trouble with the Police. It is unfortunate, but very much the reason a lot of men stay back and don't respond to these advances.

No that's an illusion. They either like you or they don't and they already know whether they do in the first 30 seconds of meeting you. Sometimes they like to make you work for it which is where that confidence part comes in. But all it's doing is making you more of a victim where you have to jump through more hoops and likely is not she's not going to respect you and get with you because of it. Her and her friends will sit around laughing about you and talking about you. And when it's all said and done she'll probably get with one of your friends instead and complain about you to them. Of course I speak of American women only. I don't know how they do things in Europe but from what I heard it's a lot easier over there. In America women have the belief they're sitting on a gold mine literally

The double standards are frustrating. Women don't initiate because they are afraid of rejection, what makes people think men aren't? Testosterone isn't everything, and police are involved when men drop any of the 'touch' gestures, sexual or not

The basic problem is that the really attractive women who you want to be with are often so subtle about their gestures and language that you think you’re just reading too much into them and you’ll end up a fool or in trouble if you try to escalate things. On the other hand, lesser attractive women are usually so obvious about their language and gestures that’s it’s obvious they want to escalate things.

I've never made the 1st move, I have always refused to. Partly because I fear rejection. Had 3 relationships & 4 FWBs. Those were all ones that flat out told me or started touching me. Yeah and about two-thirds of the time if you respond to any of them at all they act like you're crazy or something. If they lean into you and you kiss them nine times out of 10 they're going to act like you're a pervert and totally misread the situation. If they bump into you and you take their hand they are going to yank their hand back. And even if you downplay it like you thought they needed help they try to make fun of you for misunderstanding the entire situation how they just don't feel that way about you. Sure it's okay for them to touch you. Even play with your hair. But if you try to do anything like that back to them all of a sudden you're just a little too handsy. And you get other people coming up and telling you later that you need to cool off with whatever her name is that she's telling everyone that you are a handsy pig or want to be more than friends and that's not what she wants. You can't believe any of this crap they're telling us on here. You forget the first rule about women. They lie. Once you understand that everything makes a lot more sense

It worked for me. I walked up to her gave her a light touch on the arm followed by eye contact and pleasant conversation and she's hooked. But I'm fortunate she's a nice girl and wants to be romanced and wants to be sure I like her before getting emotionally invested in me.

I know she shares my feelings for her, but she has a boyfriend and she's loyal to him, ( a good thing ), she may what me to subconsciously to " make a move " but consciously she will react negativity so I never go further than " accidentally " bumping into each other or brushing past each other. I wonder if you are carrying some kind of sub-conscious baggage from the past that is keeping you trapped in a vicious cycle of feeling unacceptable around women, pal? Feeling unworthy or defective does not being out the best in any of us. Look back to when these feelings and experiences began. In my experience [though more rare] they can even go back to babyhood, or even life in the womb, or even a 'past life'. If any of this resonates, then find a capable healer or psychotherapist to help you turn things around** - if you want something different, that is... "If we live the way we are living now, we will get the results we are getting now...etc". Anyone can change their lifestyle - but it can take a big measure of guts, heart and self-honesty to do it. [**preferably one who has themselves turned around a similar obstacle in their life].

I bumped into an old crush. Now I have an injunction and not allowed to be within 500yards of where she lives, works or the route she takes between them.

@Joyanima I am a moron, when it comes to picking up on women who are interested in me. I don’t know what is wrong with me, but I never pick up on any of it until it’s too late. They must think I’m brain dead. But I just Never really experienced that when I was younger. I was never afraid to go up to somebody and just start talking to them. I guess I would pick up on if somebody put their hand on my knee, and grabbed my hand or something… but I just never really put my mind to it. Never thought about it that much. Now that I’m a little bit older, I have had instances where women were interested… One, when I was doing a show, and she wanted to come back stage and kiss me. I truthfully thought she was kidding at the time, just because we were in the middle of a set. But then I realized that no, she was interested, and by the time my brain put two and two together, she was moving out of state and off with some other guy. It sucks, because that girl was definitely a keeper. That kind of hippie/cool chick. Who will kick your ass at Halo or on the volleyball court at the beach and then after she beat you… She jumps on top of you and attacks you. Really down to earth and cognizant of her heart and emotions. A tough thing to find and the guy that got her is the luckiest man in the world. Because those kind of girls don’t come around every day. But again, because of my inability to pick up on these little things… I’ve had quite a few pass me by. To the point, that I’m starting to think I’m mentally challenged. Again, it was something that I never really dealt with in my younger life… Because generally, I was the one doing the getting. So it’s tough for me, especially in this day and age … Where a lot of women that I have come across seem to purposely go out of their way to make a man chase them around. I had one go as far as agree to go out to dinner and then last second say she forgot her phone at work and couldn’t get in touch. Then, asked me a week later why I haven’t called her and rescheduled. You can tell that she’s just playing games to see if a guy wants to chase her around enough in order to be with her. I’m not into that. Sorry, but if you’re interested… You should probably keep dates and ask me questions about the person you’re interested in… Instead of me doing all of the talking and asking the questions. Which, conversation is another thing that seems to have slipped by the wayside due to everybody texting and tweeting , and used to X amount of characters… To the point where trying to hold a conversation with them for more than five minutes is like pulling teeth. Especially face-to-face. It has me to the point where I truly don’t even understand how people get together and date anymore. Because it seems like it’s some sort of social no, no, to go up to somebody and buy them a drink and try to get to know them. You have to worry about everybody, thinking that, at any moment, they could take anything you say, as some sort of sexually laced innuendo that is going to bite you in the ass. Seemingly everybody being on edge for no reason. Which is not me. I am laid-back, happy go lucky and dig a woman who can have a conversation about anything. Who isn’t afraid to ask questions of me and isn’t afraid to take charge and tell me where we’re going for the night or where she might want to eat. Is it just me? I would really love to know how other guys are faring. Because I feel like I am in some sort of alien world, trying to learn the art of social interaction, and the correct way to approach and talk to somebody who I might be interested in. Something I never had issues with in the past. As I’ve been an entertainer, all of my life. So talking to people is part of my repertoire. So I don’t know,. Somebody educate me on modern dating rituals. Because I truly feel, since my last relationship last in 15 years before, all hell broke loose. Think Amber Heard without the physical abuse. that was my ex. Nick Cross, unfortunately that's the way it is and how it will continue to be. You really need to stop doubting your worth, as that is the one vibe that women pick up on straight away. You really need to get a book on body language and study it deeply. You say you like a woman that will take charge, well when you meet a woman like that you are setting yourself up for a fall.
