Midweek Magic is here once again, and this week, we're playing Historic Artisan! Only Historic-legal commons and uncommons are allowed, so we're going to flood the battlefield with Izzet 8 Pyros!
Young Pyromancer and Third Path Iconoclast produce 1/1 creature tokens whenever we cast an instant or sorcery, which we'll be using to generate extra value from our counter, draw and burn spells! Once we have a wide board, we have Convoke spells in Stoke the Flames and Meeting of Minds, which become free with all our creature tokens! If that fails, then Balmor, Battlemage Captain can pump our entire force and give them all trample!
Overall, we managed to go 3-0 in this video, making it one of the shortest Midweek Magic vids I've ever recorded! Obviously, only 3 matches are not enough to prove the power of the deck, but the consistency the deck presented is a great sign! I still believe the deck crumples to removal, but we got very lucky today!
