Hmong Laos got no love for anyone but themselves

I am so proud of these sisters and their husbands for loving their mother wholeheartedly and for standing their grounds against Hmong traditions. Hmong women are some of the most witted and resilient people I know. Everywhere they go, excellence follows. Behind a well respected thawj cov, there's always a strong niam tsev. It's time that Hmong men recognize the power of Hmong women and stop being so conceited. I would like to see half of the board members of the Hmong 18 Council be women. I would also like to see women thawj cov. This is the next step in Hmong evolution. If the right women are appointed to these roles, our future will be even more successful.

Your mom lived such a sad life early on. She’s lucky to have 8 loving and caring daughters who loved her. It’s your father’s loss for not loving your mom and all his daughters. Sister, love those who love you. As far as your half-siblings, let them live their life as they know it. They had your “father” while you grew up fatherless. I am proud of you sister. I am just like you. I don't have brother either. But not as lucky as you to have 7 sisters. I have only 1 sister. We had to take care of our parents funerals too. But our uncles are not as generous as yours.
