I learned how to speak english for less than 2 weeks by just talking to myself in english, copying phrases and making a notebook reviewer. Then I installed an app where people talk english there. I was just surprised that I could speak to them naturally without even thinking for a moment to construct right words. I guess, all I Can say is "for everything you do, speak to yourself in english" since we Learned through EXPOSURE. It worked on me so you indeed as well. I am not a native speaker, no one talks english at home. If you wanna be fluent faster. ~ Enjoy the Language like you owned it. ~ Talk to Google or Siri if you have no one to talk to. (I started here and my speaking skills improved massively.) ~ Be consistent

I'd consider myself as a good English listener. I understand most words (even very obscure or technical terms) but when speaking, the words often don't come as naturally. I get along because most of the time I can just describe what I meant but still this makes my speech a bit clunky. Any tips for that?

And in the last .. Practice makes perfect, and exercises of skills are important.

Speaking alone to yourself causes a risk of internalizing incorrect English. And if you do so it'll be very difficult to get rid of incorrect English. Thus, be careful with speaking to yourself if you don't have someone who corrects you consistently.

My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!
