no one's loss, there are plenty of choices.

My hair is cut in a boyish manner with a side part (and mind you, i have a large forehead and my hairline is not the most feminine , so i guess that could be a con. I actually viewed it as a major con for a longtime.) However , everytime i get a fresh cut, i feel sexy as hell. I own my short hair and i live it. Admittedly , there are days when i feel a little self conscious but not very often. Plus i use jewellery to jazz up my look. There's just something about a black woman with a short boyish haircut that i find sexy. Personally, i feel like the contrast between my face, body and hair are appealling and most people say my hairstyle suit me. So if anyone wants to go around rocking that buzz head or that side part, i say : DO IT !!! You'll look edgy ! I *think* I do. Hehehe

After contemplating and watching a lot of pros/cons videos, I finally went for it last week! I now have a beautiful sheared head, with soft peachy stubs. I feel really myself. Usually I'm never satisfied with my hair, but this is great, at least for now. I was afraid of backlash in public, but got lots of compliments in the office and from a regular dog food donator (I'm a municipal Animal Control officer). I'm sure there will be people who don't like it, but that doesn't change the amount of respect I deserve, so I'm not afraid anymore. But to go off what you asked: a con would be that if you are an authority in your local area, and it happens to be a very "old fashioned" area, you may encounter more difficulty when doing your job. Some people want to find anything to argue against and excuse their resistance. So you have to know or learn how to stand your ground and remain levelheaded, which is important regardless of hairstyle.

Congratulations! I love the ease and simplicity of short hair. It's great that you have been getting compliments. People usually admire the courage and confidence that comes with a woman who has taken the leap to shave her head. Also, having less hair means your face is 'on show'. You make a good point about being in an old fashioned area. Remaining level-headed is very important. I am glad you have been able to do that 😊

I get excruciatingly painful migraine headaches, so I wear ice hats often. Hopefully, if I ask my beautician to cut my thick hair down the time I spend wearing the hat will be shortened. Another positive is I can just shampoo my fuzz, condition my scalp, brush and go! Oh my, short hair will be so economical as far as purchasing hair products. There’ll be more funds for my personal self-care! Your hair is attractive. Plus, you have a feminine face and voice.

My hair grows really fast and I prefer it short. My answer to people who think they can demand to know my business is "because". My hair is thick and a pain to deal with when it is longer and I'd rather wash and go. I let go of my hair when I did the Big Chop over a decade ago and never looked back.

Well my illness is the reason for shaving since my immune system attacks my scalp amongst other things. But I personally like it, but boy people think your gay or have cancer, sigh.

I miss braiding my hair but I’m excited to be natural for the first time ever. I’m 24 and my hair was relaxed at 10 months…..yes. So while I dislike the boy phase..a lot, I’m excited to see my hair be healthy and natural :) I wear wigs and scarfs :)

I've only been mistaken for a guy from behind once in my life when I had shaved hair, I was so offended because I'm pretty haha but ohwell haha I love my shaved hair I feel free. 4th time I've had it shaved.

For me i sometimes feel like i "need" to put on makeup. Like i felt my hair distracted from my face alot. And now that it's just my face i sometimes feel insecure about it because there is no distraction.

Aw, that's understandable but you should feel confident either way. Free and without limits! Try to push yourself to do what is uncomfortable and you will eventually get used to it. There was a time I felt uncomfortable without makeup and the moment I realised I was becoming that way, I challenged myself to go against that feeling and it eventually worked with getting me to feel confident again. I hope that encourages you! You are never as limited as you 'think'.

Good to state these cause I think if these things will bother you then a shaved head it not for you. I have recently shaved mine and love it, and I have no plans to grow it back!😁👍🏼

You will never know until you try. I do know that cuttting your hair should encourage it to grow longer but you have to make that decision for yourself 😊

Thank you! Having multiple textures is even more reason to go for the big chop 😃 However, I successfully transitioned my multitextured hair this year and cut off the relaxed ends. You will see my current Afro in my latest video.

I really want to shave my hair but I have really thick hair and it barely grows so I’m scared it won’t grow for years 😂

Aww, do what you could do what you feel comfortable with however sometimes hair does grow faster when you shave it. That varies from person to person, but the risk might just be worth it!!

Back in the 70’s some of my friends were bold, fearless and fabulous with shaved heads, nose rings and hot pants!! We enjoyed those youthful years. It seems; Everything that goes around comes around again. I’m 73 with a shaved head ( out of necessity) but I’m embracing it. At my age, who cares, right? Thanks for sharing! ❤’d the content.

Initially, I wanted to buzz mainly because I wanted to support my aunt in solidarity as she had gotten diagnosed with cancer and might have had to do chemo etc. glad that I waited on that decision though, because it turns out after I did so much to help and support her she turned the entire family against me in a fit of narcissistic abuse and rage, and her true colors came out. I love my hair long as it is. And I would love it short too, but that’s not the decision for me to make right now. Anywho! If I do decide to buzz eventually I’ll probably come right back to your channel for some good supportive energy :-) thanks again doll! Keep on being you!!

Yes it will be perfectly ok lol! Hair is still there, just shorter and in a different style. My youngest sister has had her hair cut short for the past 5 years and never once looked back! You can see her photo on my IG and it suits her well. She has saved so much time and it never once got in the way of her job. I would do the same, but after gaining some weight, I feel it doesn't suit me in the same way. So I'm keeping it long for now, until further notice 😊

Today i had an emotional breakdown,because i was looking for a wig cause tomorrow im starting my new job and all those wigs didnt really looked nice on me,i always was told that i hsd nappy hair,how it never grows,i had to shave my hair because it fell out but right now i really feel so ugly

Hearing this breaks my heart. Please find a way to love you as soon as possible 💗 You can do it. Forget about what you were told in the past. Natural hair is gorgeous! Do you have a routine? Try ORS temple balm & Carrot oil to help stimulate hair growth. And finally hair does not make a woman. Enjoy being bald and when you want to wear a wig wear one. Maybe get a lace wig it customised? I hope you can feel better soon. And I wish you all the best in your new job. Don't let your hair stress you too much. Sometimes stress is the cause of hair loss xx

I shaved my head 2 years ago, I left it grow for 8 months and my hair was an inch long. It stuck straight up and I chickened out and shaved it again 😳😅

Tabitha Laker It’s only itchy for the first centimeter of regrowth. I later learned that it was due to my hair type mixed with my dandruff. New grown 4c hair can set an already naturally dry scalp OFF.

I had a very bad setback let me just say I hate short hair cause I don’t have beautiful head😍

That's strange lol. I get what you mean though. Sometimes it's just easier to judge others than to judge yourself. I think short hair is awesome because it's easy to manage, but it suits some people a bit more than others. However, at the end of the day, whoever wants to do it should do it!

Just by not manipulating it that often and keeping it moisturied. I had a curl pattern but it wasn't very defined in the end.

Ever try ACV ? I treat my scalp with it after washing every evening; Then I apply rosemary oil, made with fresh rosemary from a friend’s herb garden and extra virgin olive oil. I leave it on overnight and repeat the process the next evening. Works for me. The back of my hair grows faster. I’ll have to shave it again soon to match sides and slow growing crown area. ACV inhibits d h t., which causes damage to hair follicles.

Women are very very beautiful with a shaved head . I think it very pretty an cute an very sexy looking . I shave mine every day. I would love to date a lady with a shaved head .an probably get married to her some day . Please stay bald your very pretty lady
