You know, the bad part is, some people are going to buy these guitars and then wonder why they don't sound as good as when you played them

If six strings were nailed to a plank of wood, Dagan would make it sound amazing. He is such a great great guitar player.

Great (long) video PMT team, I'm mainly an acoustic player but I have been wanting to pick up an electric one just to have around, looks like a great time to do so!

I love the look of the new Striker and I was able to try a couple of them! Didn't buy it though because the model I wanted had mistakenly had a 3-way switch installed instead of a 5-way. I also would love to try the Revstar since my Pacifica 612 is an excellent guitar. However, Yamaha electric guitars are almost impossible to find in Texas right now...

That was great Dagan! I love the 40th Anniversary Squier Strat and I hate to say it but I am warming up to thee Silver Sky a bit, they do sound great! the stubby headstock though....anyway Thank you, happy holidays buddy!

Dagan made me pick up the guitar after a long absence. Age 17 to 60. Just hoping I can actually somewhere this time. I miss my Ibanez "Les Paul" from the 70s before they had to stop making them.

Wow, that Ibanez is amazing! Especially with that extra switch.

I always have the same two thoughts watching his videos: “Wow! Great guitar!” and “Wow! I need to hit the woodshed!”

In this same price range I’d also suggest any Epiphone Inspired by Gibson or Prophecy guitars, they all seem really on point. The inspired by Gibson explorer looks and feels nearly the same as the real deal, for less than 1/3rd of the price

loved the video. One guitar I'll definitely add there is Jackson JS34Q .

Antiquity 35 is just a rare jem that you have discovered for us, and I thank you for that.

Yes Dagan, it generally has to look good to you before you go finger bangin it. Those semi hollow's sound so good with distortion!

I have one too and once you work out the bugs from Shipping it is by far one of my most played guitars at the moment you know always got to fall back on a few of my work horses

Man I'm glad you brought that out at PRS because that is truly an awesome guitar I mean for the money there's just no beating it I mean you pay a lot more for a decent Stratocaster and it's just the name the PRS you ask me does everything if not better than the Strat

Depending on $, I'd prefer the 335. I wish you had a Epi Firebird in the line up.For the price, you can't go wrong with the Squire.

I love floyd roses but ever since a couple of months ago when I snapped the b string on my used 2011 Kramer assult plus I've been to scared to go raise the pitch with it. that was not a fun day at school.

Yamaha Revstar Element w- satin neck is calling to me. It has a Rickenbacker-ish look which I like. It's striking but I REALLY wish Yamaha had extended the pickguard down to the selector switch in the style of a Strat or Jazzmaster. That one looks a bit quirky but I guess it works. It sounds great as well. Woah... okay, just saw the price. Anyway, gotta say -- that was some fantastic playing throughout. 🤘

Do you guys happen to have any info or know anything about the Ibanez grga120? It’s a gio series and I am considering buying one for my first guitar. I tried out the grgr120 and 131 ex and the grga felt better while playing and in my hands.

Bro the Jackson js32 series is great for the price. Even the js32 dinky with a Floyd doesn’t go over 400 usd. I got my Jackson js32 king v in Ferrari red for 330 brand new. It sounds great and as dagan would say “looks the business” it’s a great guitar for the price

question: A guitar that doesn't suck for beginners plugged into an entry-level amplifier (that probably does) will not sound as well as it sounds in the video. So, my question is, for a beginner (no pedal, no gate noise, no fancy stuff), is it better to spend less on a cheap guitar but a little more on an amplifier? I said that because I find it difficult to hear in your videos the difference between an entry-level guitar and one a "little more expensive". Maybe it's me, as a beginner. Or maybe is the camera mic. I don't know. Anyway, good video as always, and good affordable guitars from what I can tell. Ps. I bought myself an Eko Aire Lite (Italian brand, I think you know it) and a marshall MG15 (non FX, unfortunately). I will upgrade to something better, but for now, I need to practice with it.

I would say as a beginner your main goal should be a decent guitar to play on, and more important learn on. You might not get the perfect sound on a smaller cheaper amp, but Amps especially used, are cheaper in my experience than a solid guitar. So probably best to buy a solid guitar to learn on, then worry about the better amp and accessories later down the road.

It’s a good question. When I first picked up a guitar 20 years ago, cheap guitar definitely equalled bad guitar that was difficult to play and not good for a beginner. It seems that now you can buy an inexpensive guitar that won’t be horrible to play but many really cheap amps continue to sound bad. I’m no expert, maybe others will disagree, but that’s my current thinking

I had an cheap guitar and an ever cheaper amp at the beginning (back in 1983) my way was first a slightly better guitar, than an better amp, and so on. The better you get, the better the guitar should be. When you can play that guitar, get an slightly better amp. So the tone gets better. And if you have one guitar or amp that you think is the best for you, get the other one better.

@@MattSwain1 I think that is a fair point, guitar quality has seemingly increased for sure! I just wager you can get a used amp that can produce a lot of tones for pretty cheap later down the line.

Kind of funny most people wouldn't be caught dead with the Yamaha but they always seem to surprise the hell out of me

If its about having a PRS in the list, i would take the silver sky se out and bring the se standard 24. Its cheaper and very vetsatile

id like to get that Kramer but would replace that lic floydRose with a Gotoh trem , would replace it with an original floyd but who has $350 to shellout on a bridge , I think i paid around $120 maybe a little less, anything besides the original FloydRose if its gotta be FloydRose is potmetal junk

Met degan at pmt leeds when I bought my hummingbird bird awesome guy but was heavily chastised by my son for failing to secure a selfie lol but I'm 40 was happy to say hi as he was busy but still spoke for five of his own accord stopped what he was doing told me some facts about hummingbird that saved me cash top guy and hope to meet again I feel a gretch with fultons calling me from.pmt leeds but if we do meet degan make sure I get my selfie remind me be more than my lifes worth to fail to get a selfie on two occasions but great asset and ambassador for pmt dont know hat ya pay him but not enogh I dont order online now cos I know theres a pmt close and a good one as degan him self was ther playing a Jackson if memory serves me I only buy guitars ther now find guitar neck lovely bit high at nut and they sorted it laff happy great shop and rock on degan live ya work and ya whole vibe legend in ya own life and lunch time haha

Silver Sky’s sound so damn thin and ice picky…I’ve played 3 and they all felt/sounded like shit…almost like a toy guitar
