One thing that would greatly help and slow down this type of ORC would be a change in law for those buying these stolen goods. Many of the people buying these goods know that they are stolen. The only thing I'm surprised about is that they were not required to do a perp walk for the cameras, before they're bonded out. Still, on the up-side, all those robbed today have something to look forward a year from now...

As retailer from Oakland , it is difficult to stay in business. Just about everything is locked behind plexiglass, I would have an armed security guard standing next to me at all times. Criminals would still take what ever they want (casually) they don't run or rush because if they get hurt or killed they will sue and I would definitely get the race card thrown at me because plexiglassing everything and have an armed security guard is racial profiling. Let that be a lesson to all businesses owners.

That's what I'm saying, I find it highly unlikely for 8 underprivileged youths to smash and grab 1 million worth of products in half a year. It looked like they found storages of stolen goods. No way all of that was taken by hand out of a store. No way these smash and grabs were costing millions in losses. Now shipping containers being hit right off the boat or while their on trains is more likely.
