Nice bike, they are fun to ride. I noticed throughout the years using armor all on plastic tends to dry out and fade. I use a damp wet cloth, put a little bit of motor oil on it, keep adding a little bit of oil on the cloth as it shines up your ride, it does a good job on the tires too. I do this process on all my vehicles that has the hard plastic parts.

engines will last a long time. there's spyders with over 100k miles on them.

I have a 2014 ST Limited that is black & to keep all the engine area from getting corrosion I spray it with Silicone spray, & all the exterior plastic I use Armorall or Meguires equivalent. Bike looks like new, & the mechanic loves it because all the engine area has no seized rusty things.

Only had ours for 2 months now. Got a little over 500 miles byr I know we'll hit 1k+ this summer!!😎 Ride Safe!

It is possible that what you are thinking is Fading is actually a build up of Armorall. I had that problem with the fenders on my jk jeep. I started using a few different products and have not had any issues since. Our 2019 Rallies still look like new. If you use car wash soap with wax that will turn the plastic funky also.

I got 3400 miles on mine. No issues what so ever. I got 2020 Ryker rally.

I put in about 19000mi a year commuting to work. In your opinion is the ryker dependable enough to handle that many miles year after year?

How much you pay for it?

I've been back n forth, debating to get. I'm torn between this or the Delfast. My concern is , How long will it last. I want to ride as my main commute. How much is an oil change n how much is insurance

Take care of it and you should have no problem getting over 100,000 miles on it . My 750 Honda has over 55,000 Miles on it and will go a lot longer . Insurance will depend on where you live and how long you've been riding . Just call and get a quote . Do that before buying and you'll know . Same with an oil change . Or check out the KZread videos on how to change your own oil and do it yourself . It's not hard once you learn , first time is always hard . And no you are not required to take it to the dealer to get the oil changed . I know since I am a mechanic . Just have to document everything , receipts , etc . Call around and get a quote on that too from other motorcycle dealers in your area . That way it'll be documented and could be a lot cheaper . As long as the oil and filters meat Can Am specs they'll work . If anyone says anything different then call Can Am and ask them . Good luck and happy riding .

Rule #1: Never let anyone ride your bike. They will never ride it like you. Mileage is still low.

8000 is nothing for these. I have 31k on my spyder

michael drevyanko sr only part I had to replace is the cam shaft sensor $50 ball joints $40 rotors $200 repair fender brackets $30 rear shock $600 battery. Tires. Oil. Air filter. Shops are crazy expensive so I do all the labor. One thing I don’t like is a lot of bikers stick their nose up to me and don’t waive back. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@opichocal I bought my first Harley in 1968 , & since then I’ve had multiple brands of motorcycle, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda Goldwings , I ride what makes me happy 😃, Don’t worry about the Harley riders , all you need to do is be happy 😊, I plan to buy a 900 This spring so I can ride , and breath the fresh air 😎

@@michaeldrevyankosr6180 cool. It used to bother me but now I just laugh and enjoy the ride. I also have a Goldwing, Burgman, royal star, Zuma’s and other toys. I love the wind therapy and try to ride at least twice a week. Have fun on the Ryker

Great video . I’m glad yours is working great I have a 2021 rally 900 with 432 miles on It and was leaking out oil the other day not even two weeks old back to the dealership I don’t want nothing to do with it it’s too bad too because I love driving it.

At at about the same now.. No issues

I’ve had my Ryker for less than a year with less than 1200 miles. This thing is poorly built. Clips holding wires break off inner from wheel fender. Gas gauge stopped working. Left and right filter covers rattle( on almost all of them ) making the ride annoying. I have the 900 Ryker. Sending it into the dealer to have everything replaced and then I’m selling it. This has been extremely unreliable with battery dying in less than 3 months of ownership.

8000 miles is 1 grand for every 10k. I think he has a LONG way to go to get his money's worth! 😅

This has some of the worst tires I've ever come across. Terrible. The rest of the bike, I've very happy with tho!

8000 miles and it’s ready to be put out to pasture?? Are you serious? It should still have 50,000!miles or more easily. Some have close to 100,000 miles so what planet 🌏 do you live on?
