7th gen Accord gas cap door (cheap) fix
Did your gas cap opener stopped working on your 7th gen Honda Accord, you found something online how to fix it, but the problem is still there after messing with your latch? Don't go any further 😉
Just go look in the trunk under the liner and you will exactly find what we did.
This video is from 2021 august, and got uploaded pretty much in 2022 April. His opener still works with the tape 😂
The best bet is to go to your local car part store and get a new piece to replace the old broken one. You can go to the junkyard as well but this fix is the cheapest solution.

Yes, but it can be also broken by the lever where you pull it. (technically you need to inspect the whole mechanism.)
damn door wouldnt open without a key, now stuck, i got 500 zip ties in my car ill try this tommarrow mrfkr giving me trouble (2004) MY WHOLE LEVER WAS LOOSE just had to tighten the one 10mm bolt holding it the car

@@pduh42 yeah i got to right now its showing it age -got a passanger window that wont work -drivers side recline is stuck other day door lock froze mid shift
Some zip ties get them at Walmart.

Amazon got a packs of them. :) Tape works fine, it's still holding up.
