Great video. Bought it in 2020, used with 3,700 shutter actuations. Basically new and included the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens, a Hoya UV filter, a Hoya polarizing filter, 1 SD card, 1 CF card, the battery grip and a total of 4 batteries. All that for $850 and I sold the lens for $150. My point is that if you are patient, you can find great deals on this camera, which by the way, it’s really awesome. I use it with my EF 300mm L prime lens attached to a 1.4 tele converter and it really is incredible! Thanks for taking the time to make and upload this video. I upgraded from an ancient 5D Classic and this is a whole new camera universe. Very helpful!

Moved from a 650D to a 70D after two years. And I was extremely happy with what I got. I just sold it to a friend who had some trouble with his old 550D, and I bought a 7DMkII. I'll have it in my hands tomorrow. I hope it's as good as you are saying !

Actually, you can disable the intervalometer by turning the camera off OR going back to MENU and DISABLE the intervalometer in between shots. That's pretty simple since the last menu item you'll have selected would have been enabling the intervalometer.

I've shot a T3i with battery grip for six years, but with a plastic/polymer body, it's relatively light-weight. Having just upgraded to the 7D Mark II with the Canon battery grip, it's significantly heavier due to a magnesium alloy construction. Make no mistake, this is a pro camera in appearance and performance, which Scott Kelby affirmed in his review.

What a great, helpful, thorough review. I watched the whole video and found it very instructive. I have been shooting on a Rebel T1i since 2010, and I'm now considering a big leap up into 7D Mark II. I do a lot of shooting in theatrical settings that often have low light where flash is not an option. I have 2 EF-S lenses - the 17-55 and the 10-22. Is it worth the extra expense to purchase the body with the 18-135 lens? I was leaning toward purchasing the body only, since I've been very happy with the 17-55 and the 10-22. I know the 7D Mark II would take me into a whole different level of capability from what I've been using. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions.

Bradley Griffin Thanks for your support, glad you enjoyed the review. In my opinion I don't think it's worth it to get it with the 18-135 lens. The 18-135 isn't exactly the best performing lens, given that you already own a 17-55, which is a fantastic lens. I would definitely recommend sticking with the 17-55 as your primary standard zoom lens :)

I own one and I love it. I shoot lots of sport and landscapes. However, I have noticed from time to time that my RAW settings will somehow shift to JPG, and I have no idea what it was that I did or what button I pushed. Other than that the Canon 7D MK II is fantastic for what I do.

90d is the latest technology. Got digic 8 sensor while 7d markii has digic 6. Thats why is ISO performance in 90d is way more than 7d ii. Moreover 90d can shoot 4k, it has wifi built in, it has the latest technology and features. And because its new so definitely will have better value after some years too.

The camera will handle any macro shooting you can throw at it. Hope you have patience and experience shooting macro. The most difficult lens in Canons lineup is the MPE-65. An amazing lens, but not for the novice. Shooting at 5X, you're gonna want the most light you can get, without scaring off what you're trying to shoot. Also, focus stacking is the only way to go, the DOF is razor thin. Good luck!
