78 RPM: Herb Fisher - You Don't Live But Once

Музыка

You Don't Live But Once
written and performed by Herb Fisher
recorded in Los Angeles, January 1953
released as Imperial 5246 in August 1953
Singer, songwriter and pianist Herb Fisher had four singles released on the Bihari brother's Modern label (1950-51) and one side, "People Have Money Are Funny," is included on the label's first 10-inch LP offering.
Of those four, his first, "I'm Yours To Keep" does well in San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York but, does not quite break nationally.
Then, he has two records on Lew Chudd's Imperial label (1952-53). This was the last of those two and both faded about as fast as they were issued.
Sadly, this is the extent of what I know about this guy. That is exactly what the comment section below is for. This is a flexi-vinyl copy. So, it sounds much better than it looks.
