Today we have Derrek Stewart on board with the main focus being targeting Calico Bass at San Clemente Island. Upon arrival I take in the conditions and decide our morning would be better spent looking for yellowtail/White Sea bass initially while pulling on some California Shepherd, Whitefish and Vermillion Rockfish before conditions line up for an epic afternoon of fishing for Calico Bass in the kelp lines with Alabama rigs with swimbaits and Derrek's Dartspins as we start to double, triple and even quadruple up.
A school of California Yellowtail swims by the boat and Joshua nabs one on the Colt Sniper off a long cast behind the boat and we even get a guest appearance from the California Barracuda!
