75th Anniversary Weekend - Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway

We are pleased to share some lovely footage and photographs of the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railways 75th Anniversary weekend on the 15th & 16th of July.
The weekend featured two visiting locomotives, "Monty" from Evesham Vale Light Railway & "Prince Edward of Wales" from Rhyl Miniature Railway. At Lakeside station, miniature steam vehicles were giving rides to children and grown up around the car park, We also had the Mayor of Cleethorpes open "The Story of Cleethorpes Miniature Railways", An exhibition showing the story of the railway from its first opening in 1948 to the present day. The Grimsby & District Pipe Band performed under the canopy at Lakeside, giving a wonderful performance for all. The miniature vehicles also had a race with the train up to Kingsway station, showing off that although they are small, they are mighty.
Thank you to everyone who visited during the celebrations, and to our amazing team of staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make the weekend a great success despite the weather.
Here's to another 75 golden years!
