Lots of great recommendations, you can’t go wrong with them!! I’m gifting good quality local honey this year, I bought it - didn’t harvest it. Benefit - it’s an easy gift that you can prepare months in advance reducing the last minute holiday rush & stress. A little addition to the sourdough starter idea, include a sourdough baking kit, they vary in price depending on how many items are in it. They come with the proofing basket, lame to score the bread, dough scraper, and other bits & pieces. Some come with a bread knife/danish whisk/bread mat that replaces using parchment paper to make bread. For someone who likes baking their own bread & may have a bit of their own equipment, try gifting a proofing box - it’s basically a heating mat inside of a box that you can control the temperature when proofing bread.

How do you figure these are all budget friendly? I appreciate the ideas but I thought this would be about things you could make for a few bucks. I would take budget friendly out of the title and put in “great ideas”.
