Join me on day 1 & first week of doing the 75 HARD challenge! If you want to join me in my healthy girl era, comment if you're going to tackle the 75 days of fitness and mental toughness along with me. For 75 days you have to abide by the following rules:
Complete two 45-minute workouts (one must be outdoors)
Drink a gallon of water
Follow a diet
Absolutely no cheat meals, and no alcohol
Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book
Take a progress photo
If you miss any of these, you have to start over from day 1.

OMG! Katie you are so inspiring and have motivated this 54yro menopausal woman, in SO many ways! I'm on day 5, so glad I found this video. Your tips were really helpful and love the vibes, I will be following your journey and would love monthly updates. I wanna share the reason I'm doing this challenge... I want to remind myself of my strength, my ability to do hard things and my ability to keep promises to myself. the past 2 years I've experienced many challenges and fails and I kinda started to question my potential. "cries tears of Pinot Noir" lol!! Love that. I am on the fence about trying this challenge and I have been for a while. The alcohol thing doesn't bother me as much as the "no cheat meals" does. Not sure my husband would be happy about never going out to eat (as those are my cheat meals)
Wow! I've heard of people doing this & watched a few people on IG do it, and was overwhelmed by it - but your video made it seem totally do-able! Mmmm...I just may try it now that spring is here! Love your aesthetic & your content!

💙 I’m on day two, but I’m doing the 75 Soft Challenge…I figured going from mostly sedentary to crazy town would be a cultural shock to my system lol Plus one 45-minute workout daily is also a lot So far I’ve spent most of my time in the bathroom

my tip for anybody who wants to start anything: have a why!!! why are you doing it? because for my own experience if i don’t know why i am doing what i am doing your motivation will be gone by day 5

Great video. Andy F. wife has an old video about the rules and has taken a stationary bike out to her driveway and yoga outside - makes it a little easier unless they changes their “rules” 😊

The issues with this challenge are the black and white thinking. The starting over if you “fail” and just the overall the strict guidelines. I think it’s great to push ourselves but also having grace that not everyday will be the same and our bodies fluctuate and have different needs on a daily basis. The phrase “cheat meals” is one thing that grinds my gears because it’s essentially feeding into the narrative that food holds morality, and it doesn’t. There’s no good, or bad foods and you’re not CHEATING should you have something you really enjoy. I feel like moderation is what’s needed not restricting. Overall I know everyone is different and we’ve all experienced different life events and traumas. I watched this video because I was genuinely curious about what this was. Thank you for sharing and being honest :)

Totally understood and agree! :) It's intense and quite ruthless. A lot of the criticism about this challenge is for the exact reasons you mentioned: It IS superrrrr restrictive (I guess that's why it's a temporary 2 1/2 month "challenge" and not a lifestyle alteration or overhaul) and I don't think anyone would try to argue otherwise - ha! It's a LOT. With that said, I have a few friends who participated in other versions inspired by this challenge which are much more moderation-friendly and they loved it. Everyone should do what's best for them physically and mentally!

i see these arguments, but i still think 75 Hard is effective as a mental toughness challenge. if you gave yourself a set of guidelines to follow and did not commit, that is “failing” to follow through. that’s an objective truth that isn’t saying anything about a person morally. even when it comes to the meals, a “cheat meal” isn’t about a food being “good” or “bad”, but simply something that is outside of the nutritional plan that one set for themselves. people can make their diet whatever they want it to be. this challenge was simply designed for people who want to build consistency and discipline regardless of life circumstances. that’s not for everyone!
I’ve always wanted to do this challenge, so I’m putting my mind to it… I started day 1 today. I noticed you had a checklist that you use for each day is that something that you have accessible on your phone and you could check off as you go throughout the day ? Please share link or app if so thank you 🙏🏻

How much water a day were you drinking before this?
Is playing badminton outside considered an outside workout?

What does no cheap meals mean with 72-Hard? I mean are you staying under a certain amount of calories the entire time, or just staying away from food? Like you can set your daily calorie limit to 2,000 calories and still have snacks and sweets.
You didn't cook the veggies for the pasta? And no dressing or sauce? 😢

You can 100% do it! I work full-time in marketing, create KZread content on the side, somehow maintain a healthy social life, and am planning a wedding all during this! It's all about the mindset to get it all done :) Go for it!!

@@Katie.Callaway thanks for the motivation! I think most of it I could! It’s all about choosing a way that is helping you reach higher but is still realistic for you. However my life is very unstable, meaning some days I have plenty of time, other days I’m almost too busy to shower and I can’t really see those coming and prepare. So I would certainly slip up some days and because I’d have to start over I would never be able to finish and then I’d start resenting it. Although, most days my life already looks 80% like this, so I’m not complaining 😊
So you cook food once a week and store it in the freezer and reheat before eating?

Just my lunches usually Monday - Friday so it's not every single meal for every single day. But yes! I put them in the fridge, not freezer, but it works well for me.
I really want to do this challenge I'd be fine with all the rules as I do them now but... I just don't know as I could be potentially triggered by taking pictures if my body everyday and someone recovered (2 years in) from an ED. But I was thinking about taking the photos on a camera and just not looking at them until the end... there's nothing in the rules saying you need to look at them ...

I feel this. Taking a progress pic every day is the one rule I struggle with the most.
What do you do on your period? I have a very heavy stomachache on first day, and exercise makes it ten times worse 😢

So funny you ask - I LITERALLY started my period today! It's a double walk day for me - BOTH outside this time! I noticed that being in the sun helps my PMS mood a lot. Other times I'll walk once, and then do restorative yoga or something that's not intense :)
I want to do this but would doing 75 days of working out twice day for 45 min make it hard on your body to go back to a normal, more sustainable workout schedule?

Impressive to juggle work, 2 x workout and creating content! Something that always makes me wonder is why influencers with dogs go for walks without said dog. I'm a dog mom and having to walk him at least two hours every day, I would never even think that walking outside without him was an option 😅

YES! I was wondering if people were curious why I wasn't taking Tony on my walks! He absolutely *hates* car traffic and skateboards, and gets super anxious and spooked on walks around the neighborhood (there's a lot of both where I live). So for exercise, I usually take him to parks, let him play with other dogs, and go on hikes where he doesn't get anxiety about those 2 things. I wish I could get him to a point where he's okay with neighborhood walks!

Some people suffer from eating disorders , so even slight mentions of restrictive dieting can trigger them , especiallywhen they are in early stages of recovery . Leading to them getting trapped in the cycle of extreme dieting once again .

I want to do this soo badly BUT (and I hate to admit it) but I don’t trust myself to not fail FAST with the diet part. Food is such a big part of my family’s life and I am weak 🫠
