Good on you, Campbells!
My parents were vacationing in Hawaii and were coming back the next week. This event made me terrified for them.

Well, they do need SOME flame, they just need to keep it penned up _inside_ the engine.
Welcome back mayday
Such professionalism!
Boeing knows how to deal with people who make trouble for them. Don't suicide me bro!

They have more than one episode of many of these. I suggest looking for it under a different name.
What an excellent report on the Campbells. And I am not sure if Boeing learnt a lesson. I have serious doubts.

This is why I usually prefer United _(or other US-based airlines)_ when overseas. _(With my little experience as a student pilot, I somehow feel these pilots are usually above-average in competence)_ 👍
How does relate to the exact issue that killed over 300 on the DC-10 in '74?
Air travel is made safer with the persistency of the Campbells. Thank you Mr & Mrs Campbell your determined effort is saving lives . So sorry about your Son. R.I.P Lee.❤❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The door that opened on the tarmac was in a 4yo plane.. that is not an old plane.. You can't blame old wiring.. that is a dodgy switch, or rubbish wiring.
Why do guys keep posting the same videos I have seen this 3 times already 😂

I find it somewhat funny that the cabin crew knew there had been an explosion, explosive decompression and the the wall and some seats are missing, but not the engine problems. The cockpit crew knew the engines were bad, there was no O2 and they couldnt hold altitude, but didnt know about the explosion. Seems like they should train the head cabin crew member to recognize various issues that the cockpit couldnt know about (big hole in airplane, for example) and initiate contact with the cockpit to make sure they have the facts.

Exactly! I watched another one yesterday where the cabin crew saw the left engine was blasted off with wires exposed and liquid flowing and NONE of them thought of informing the pilots. One of the pilots noticed 7 minutes later, 30 seconds to the deadly fire crash .
Now im thinking a whistleblower was probably on that flight

Most of these issues are due to maintenance which is the fault of the airlines. Take a look at how many problems Airbus and other manufacturers have had throughout the years.

omg another american and turkey flight
If I could go back in time and warn Boeing that their design was prone to failure, I would. This was not the only incident with this cargo door design. Fixing it would have saved so many lives. Honestly, I don't know why they didn't make the latches more like a commercial safe, with rods that engage into holes in the frame all around. Then even if one rod fails, the other rods would hold it in place.
@natehill8069

Safes dont need to hold air pressure. You need a clamping action to force the door against the gasket to retain pressurization. Straight rods would not do that.

In the late 1800s so many railroad workers lost fingers coupling cars that you could tell how many years experience a man had by how few fingers they had left. Then when they got below 4 or 5 they were fired cause they couldnt do the job anymore. The Janney automatic coupler completely solved the problem, but railroads had to be forced to use them cause they cost several hundred dollars per car (which would be thousands today, but still...) and replacing someone cost nothing.
criminal negligence and cover up
I really enjoy these videos, but d*mn, stop renaming and re-posting the same videos, which are clearly just for CTR/impressions and monetization. It's bad form, and degrades your reputation.
