Both are outstanding cars. The Mustang is a good bit heavier so it is no surprise the Vette would take it in a drag. That being said, I wouldn't complain to have either of them. I'm glad America is making such high quality cars. Wasn't the case 20 years ago.

@@blake1995 No Blake, that's just simple physics. Is that what you Chevy fanbois tell yourself when a Chevy beats a Hellcat? It's not just HP. There has always been a HP:Weight ratio to racing. There is also cars dressed for the track (drag radials) and those dressed for light-to-light races on the weekends (street tires). Here are the facts. Both cars are about equal in HP. However, the Vette is hundreds of pounds lighter. It also came equipped with the right gym shoes for this workout. That Mustang was breaking traction clear into 4th gear. This wasn't really a competition. HP:Weight and 1/4 drag readiness put that Vette way ahead of even a 500. Except for complete driver incompetence in the two cars, that Mustang never stood a chance, even if they made the same HP.

Plus the vette engine is making it's horse power normally aspirated.

I have a Shelby GT500 and the one major problem is the 3.31 rear gearing, switch to a 3.73 or a 4.10 and you will have a true dig monster. I also agree that to run the GT500 you do need a set of drag radials to get the car to hook.

The bow tie on the front of the car is there for a reason. The bow tie shows class. I know chevy doesn't fall apart like a ford. I have been driving my chevy truck sence 2006 amd have only had a water pump brake. Ive had 10 fords in the last 7 years and they have all been traded in because they fell apart. Literally.

It's got NOS on it dimwit.. It's not naturally aspirated.. You see those solenoids under the hood? that line going into the intake right there? take a wild guess at what that does??? It gives it a shit ton more power instantly... Not naturally genius..

Texarmageddon bought a c6 after driving the 2015 mustang GT... GT feels like a powerful sedan, c6 was faster and felt like it should (a true sports car) I got a old c6 and im faster than a new stang. Price/performance you cant beat a c6 ls3 now!

Ken R They really aren't in the same league. You really shouldn't compare a 4-seater 'budget' (no they aren't cheap, but they are cheaper) muscle car to America's cream of the crop 2-seater sports cars. They are two different animals, but sometimes comparable when GTs or Camaros are modified.

Good luck finding all of those cars you mentioned crashing to the point where you can find 100 of them. In one part of the ontage, at a drag strip, there were two Mustangs. Half way down the strip, the Mustang on the left heads for the left wall and the Mustang on the right heads for the right wall. LMAO. Pieces of shit.

zepheyr Also, I forgot to mention it IS the car and not the drivers. Again, this only seems to be affecting Mustangs. Secondly, many of the videos show the Mustangs getting sloppy while they are half way down the track, probably at the top of 4th or 5th gear. What fucking car does that? Usually, if someone spins out it is at the beginning, not half way or 3/4s of the way down the track.LMAO

BlueonGoldZ Well to be fair Mustangs are probably much more popular/more bought than all of the other cars mentioned over time. So yeah I mean statistically you should see a lot more Mustang videos.

+Wayne Mare lol typical ford guy always in denial. the Mustang is a great looking and fast but these days the Chevy's are Dominating and thats with little to no mods. dont get it twisted I love all cars and if i had my way ill own both Mustang, Corvette or Camaro even Dodge challenger why not their all bad ass rides. face it Chevrolet is doing its thing right.

+Wayne Mare lmao, then why is the LS so popular amongst engine builders they even made an LS V12 explain that to me. im not knocking ford they make great cars im knocking the idiots who drive them. look at racing history between the to manufacturers and tell me then who makes the better car. just recently Chevy Won the Rolex series. not many ford drivers know how to handle those tail happy cars but those who do much props and respect to them.
