About ipod, you can connect to 3utools in dfu mode, go to advanced, then press exit disabled mode

nope, there are tools available but only for iphone 3gs and iphone 4. 3utools mostly packed those old tools in one station but believe me, there's nothing to do for MC ipod 2g

I restored from boot loop an iPod touch 1st generation by downloading an earlier version of iTunes and also downloading one of the earlier releases of iOS for it. Restored by holding shift and to choose custom iOS. Another 1st generation I bought worked the same way but would only boot with the very first/second iOS version. Not sure about shsh blobs but hopefully this is useful for what you’re trying to do

Love Love Love getting ahold of old mac laptops. I should give this a try.

The first generation iPod nano sells for a lot became it had a recall making it rare

Yep! I remember buying one from a Cash Converters store, only to find it frequently heating up, which was indicative of a recalled unit.

After cleaning that Macbook you can put on a hardcover and it will look as good as new, the screen and keyboard/palm rest looks clean luckily.

I used to have a Sony Ericsson Cyber Shot like that years ago. It had this really fun app on it where you could make music and ringtones. It feels weird seeing it again in this video.

@firenation Are you sure about that? iPhones can be hard to repair, and there are precautions you have to take, like disconnecting the battery, disconnecting a home button, and you may need a lot of screwdrivers.

Please make videos of everything from the lot! 😂🙌

I still have one of those macbooks in active service. Raided SSDs, 16GB ram and Mojave with dosdude's mojave patch, works like a dream

I think you can only get shsh blobs while apple is signing the firmware. That ipod might be vulnerable to alloc8 or 24kpwn which should allow you to install and old ios version without the blobs.

nah, even better would be to swap the memory chip on a 16gb 6s to 128gb. It's been done before by strange parts. Doing a full motherboard swap like that would just be a waste

Phone collector here. I ALWAYS clean "new" devices with 91% isopropyl alcohol when they arrive. Never know what kind of life they had before. Also, what will you do when the two older phones from the lot?

I have actually never seen the old apple wireless trackpad, new one looks better but its still pretty interesting

I love early 2000s apple products. theres just something about em... I was never a big fan of apple i was always a Windows/Android type of guy but older Apple products still are pretty cool. I scored a working 3rd gen iPod nano from a customer at work for free. it was beaten up so I salvaged the songs and bought the same one for 25 bucks in way better condition.

I’m pretty sure that’s an iPod touch second generation but very late in the game because it’s got the smaller memory size logo on the back at 8 GB because second generations had much bigger gigabyte markings

I think that 2010 MB has screen haloing? Looking forward to that restore, I have a 2009 MB (non-unibody) that I've put aside for tinkering. I can't bear to sell it, even with it's battery and halo'd screen.

that macbook is an absolute beast i have that very same model with 16GB of RAM a 256GB SSD with High Sierra soon to be patched to Mojave and it's buttery smooth :D

You can use Gecko Toolkit on a spare _x86_ Vista/7 machine to remove both the “disabled” message and the passcode. Then start cleaning out the previous owners data

For the ipod touch 2nd gen, search blackd00r 6 on google, it has all the right tweaks pre-loaded like the apple file conduit tweak as well as the appsync tweak, and it is still ios 3.1.3 but with just a background tweak, all the rest is pretty the same, if you do this method you dont need blobs, just follow the instructions and you should be fine!

Try using 3u tools it works with any idevice
