What surprises me the most, is that almost all of them, have the same melody even if the language is different. I love it

In Mexico we call it "Las Mañanitas" and it has its own rythme, with mariachi and everything 😊🎶 And after singing, we often say "una porra" like "A la vio, a la vao, a la bim bom bam (we say the person's name twice) Ra,ra,raaa!!"

@1:38 We do actually have a birthday song in Senegal. In the Wolof language it is: “Bëss bu dellusi moo neex, Bëss bu dellusi mo neex…” In the past, we used to sing it in French, but over these past few years we have adopted the Wolof version. In Senegal it is not uncommon to see a birthday party where the song is sung in Wolof, French, and English.

It could be impossible to sing it in Japanese bcz it is way too long : Otan Jobi Omedeto
@anubisu1024
5 жыл бұрын
Alex Youtaite I really wonder why we Japanese don't have Japanese lyrics for the song while many other nations have ones in their own languages. English lyrics has six syllables: hap-py-birth-day-to-you, and as you say it can be translated to o-tan-jo-bi-o-me-de-to, eight syllables in Japanese. If I sing it in that rhythm, I will contract the "o-me-de" part to one syllable, which corresponds to the "to" part in English lyrics.
@anubisu1024
5 жыл бұрын
Mega Hertz Let me answer: we Japanese don't have common translation for it. All of us sing it in "Engrish".
