#70.1: "Woman At Point Zero" by Nawal El Saadawi (Egypt, 1977)

A story of a woman who kills a man and why she did it, and why she's happy to die for it. Stay tuned for another book for Egypt coming in the next weeks, a classic - "Children of the Alley" by Naguib Mahfouz.

Some women in some countries live in bad conditions l meet some women can’t go outside her home without a man (brother husband….etc) l love Nawal stood up and fought the traditions that enslave and violate women’s bodies in the villages 😢❤ that cost her a lot

In that case, I could understand more of why Nawal painted such a harsh portrait of a woman's life and the men in her life. I am still questioning if it was the best approach to creating change, like showing a path for men and women to work together to create a more free society for all. I don't know, but I'm sure she would have a sharp answer for that.

@@mikereadstheworld I agreed but we should keep in mind in these societies it's difficult to do so because men in these areas don't want to be in a harmonious relationship with women they are violent and want a salve really want to crush women's dreams ( force woman to marry a man when she was a child and the men in her family take the money) they even deformed the women's body in such a young age(Circumcision). They don't want a wife they want a slave.... and if you talk against this treatment(even in a peaceful way)ur life will be in danger they see u against God you are a heretic and then they will try to k!!l you and that happened with this author
