Agreed. Let's remember the founding fathers bravery in declaring independence, and the people who lost their lives for that righteous cause. And take lessons from their insight, such as George Washington's decision to vaccinate our side, which very likely won the war by keeping our troops healthy while the British lost many thousands to smallpox, and encouraged us to go on to do such great things as eradicate smallpox in our new country, and other diseases throughout the coming centuries (polio, etc. -- and hopefully Covid19 now).

Off topic but I had to celebrate. No tomatoes for the last two years because of heat, this year I initially encouraged a lot of foliar growth (goat tea) and then partial shade screens and very fine misters (no mold, hot and dry here). After a couple of weeks from mid 90s to 107 and still lots of blossoming and pollinated fruit developing! Heirloom, Marzano and Roma. I'm amazed and so happy.

I planted something called perpetual spinach which looks like spinach and is said to taste like spinach but is a chard and will grow all summer… it sprouted quick, I can’t wait to try it when it is full grown.

I have snap dragons in my garden. They seem to survive the winters in AZ. Most of my store bought plants didn't survive, luckily I had seeds as a backup. Now everything is bursting even the weeds. Monsoon season happens in July, so I can slow down on my water timer. Thanks for the tips.

Knowing which zone ( region ) you live in helps when looking at the seed packs. Most of the ones I have seen have the zone listed on the packet , usually at the bottom of the packet. Local sources have seeds for there area. Purchasing over the web I always check the suggested time of year and the region ( Zone )

I'm in South Texas. The almanac says Dec. 23, which made me chuckle. In the last ten years it's been cold in december maybe three of those years. The last several years it's been in the 70's on Christmas day. We can grown ALMOST year round here. Except, of course, for plants that don't do well in high heat. Apples, for example, are a problem for us down here.

Our Snow Peas were done already so I planted Okra last week and it is really taking off. We had a cool spring and the cucumbers haven't started producing yet so in effect we are doing cucumbers now too.

Shasta County, CA. 100+ degrees for the last 3 weeks ( hi of 112), and looks to be over 100 for at least the next two weeks. If a seedling dares to pop up it is instantly incinerated. Most of my tomato flowers fry the day they bloom. Beans flower but don't set. Best pollinator season in many years thanks to Mexican Sunflowers and Yarrow. Deflower basil twice a day. Only thing that thrives are Jurassic zuccinni and sweet potatos. The eggplant and some peppers are ok. I ordered 30% white shade cloth in a desperate attempt to salvage most of what I planted in April/May!

Universities around the US also have a planting calendar that's Google-able. The UC extension in California has a growing calendar for us too. There's definitely give and take for microclimates.

Thanks for this vid. My squash is all gone and my zucchini is on its last legs (root rot, ban of my squash), and I was just wondering yesterday if there were any reason I couldn’t plant another round. Gonna do that today I think. I just started new box gardens this year, and got a late start. Few things worked well. Time to make up for that!

I have a Basil plant that is 3 year's old. It grows in my kitchen window. If it starts to bloom, I cut it back and it has a very robust flavor.

I love the zinnias are so easy to grow and they look awesome! I'm working on some butterfly milkweed. I had it in the refrigerator for several weeks.. Stratification is tough when you're in Texas lol. I'm excited to say I have six baby seedlings that hopefully I can bring to maturity. I'm going to start some zucchini this weekend so that when I watch your video I'll know what to do 😁.
