    The interesting aspect on this, there is a PC utility to do this jump roping mini game. It's Soo good that if you let it run, your character will hit the ceiling cap and reset your jump rope counter missing the trophy.

    About L'Cie Paragon, the hardest mission to 5 star's are actually the easiest. If you decide to do them after finishing the story, they become really hard to 5 star. The reason is because the target time is based on your character developpment (both Crystarium and Equipments).

    I finally decided to platinum FFXIII on the PS3 a few months ago, and I didn't find it that hard to do. Shrouds make most cie'th stone missions really easy to 5 star. Farming money/traps for all the weapons was way more tedious and difficult. I made the mistake of completing Titan's Trial Missions before I had a good Long Gui setup.

    The rest challenge in FF13 is trying to get the achievement involing to nab every weapon and accessories. You need a check list just to be sure every weapon is level 2, picking one weapon for each party member their ultimate weapon. Then making sure you have at least one of every accessories just so the robot companion will offer you that achievement.

    5 out of 7, I'm feeling good right about now. I would argue that in 13, the treasure hunter (obtain all weapons and accessories) was much harder- or at least much more tedious. At least the cieth trophy features interesting combat mastery. The treasure hunter just had you killing adamantortises for hours. On ff9, I still challenge someone to do the jump rope game without using a computer emulator. Bloodlust alone added probably 7 hours of just mindless kill grinding. Tetra master is at least a little fun

    I’ve actually gotten 100% FF8 and FF13. I’m on the grind of the pixel remasters currently. 100% the first one as I read it had no missables anywhere so I blind ran it and picked up everything I missed. I started FF2 but the weird levelling really threw me, still playing it but not really enjoying it. FF3 hasn’t been touched. FFIV has been touched but I 100% it back when I had the 3D remake so don’t care to 100% it this time. FFV is my favourite 2D FF so I’ve been following a guide and combing everything, I even mastered two jobs (knight and monk) before heading out to walse. FFVI is amazing but I had the original steam version and didn’t realise I had to wait for shadow, didn’t and obviosuly lost him forever and I have had no motivation to go back through it. FF7 has all achievements apart from the Gil one, and before you say master all the all’s. I stupidly sold all copies bare one to make the grinding process easier to know what I had and hadn’t mastered. FFIX has way too much in for me to care about combing. FFX I’ve 100% but I wouldn’t say it was anywhere near as hard as FF13 or FF8. FFXII is my absolute favourite and I’ve 100% it multiple times. FFXIII-2 is another favourite which I have got everything apart from one fragment because I am not lucky on those damn coding bikes so gave up. FF-LR has so much time management that following a guide is so hard but playing without one means I miss so much content and it hurts my brain to leave it behind. FFXV was an amazing game blind because I just explored and explored and explored. I missed so much but I didn’t care. I did some side quests but I was content being able to defeat a few of the super bosses and calling it a day after receiving the black hood from Piteos. All in all, I agree that the 2 mainline original versions you’ve mentioned were the hardest to 100%

    The standard version of FF6 had an achievement for obtaining all of Gau's rages. Perhaps about half of the rages are missable, and there are quite a few "exactly one chance" to unlock, and even a couple which have a random chance element where even if you play perfectly, it might not unlock, and you have to reload a save. It's at 2.2% for that game, and is a requirement for the "all achievements in a single playthrough" which is 1.5% of players. All together, it took me 3 end-to-end back-to-back playthroughs to correctly find all the missables and unlock everything in a single run.

    I think one that is not hard but very tedious is in Final Fantasy III 3D Remake on Steam. "Jack of all Trades" - "Attain level 99 with all jobs for all characters", 28 job classes for all 4 characters (If I have remebered that correctly). Tedious in the sense that you had to go into a fight and guard at least 4 - 5 times with everyone to get 1 job level. On Steam only 2.1% of players have earned this achievement, including myself (tooting my own horn) :)

    I usually don't care about achievements because not only I am an old school gamer, but because some of these games of today, specially fighting games have some hard achievements only obtainable in online modes. But I dare to say that defeating Proto-Babil on FFIV for NDS (have to play PC version yet) was one of the greatest things I loved to do on a Final Fantasy game! I only took 2 years since, at that time, I found playing a second play through kind of boring, thanks to that augments thing and strategy for the fight involving them, but ending that almost 1 hour fight (as I remember), was really cool! Someday I plan to play the PC version. And I'll try this again for sure! About FFXV "Return of the Founder King", I thought it would be hard, but it wasn't hard at all. There are some tutoriais on what to do, like using "safety helmet" for example. I have an unlisted vídeo on my other chanel where I am getting this achievement. The worst part is having to play this entire DLC on easy mode again for some 1 hour and a half at risk of failure. I saved the game only in the lab to take a breath and then before entering the castle... But I remember I got this achievement on a first, or second try. Here's the link (nevermind the title, it was a raw title I gave to it after recording and was lazy to rename it, and I disabled the pop-up notification for the achievement while on game too): kzread.info/dash/bejne/o4uEu85vl6XHdLQ.html Now, about those rare, boring and stupid, online achievements on games, talk about games from another franchise for example, like "win a streak of 10 ranked fights" on Mortal Kombat XL... I had won already 80 fights on ranked, I was already tired of the game, and it was hard, why would I bother with an 10 streak win sequence and having to backup save files to erase it and copy then again after each time I lose a fight? NO WAY! I may not be good enough to win 10 times in a row, but even if I was, it was boring to even think om trying! 😅

    FFX-2 HD Remaster was bundled with FFX HD, so there’s probably a lot of people who have purchased the game but not played much - or at all. For the Tonberry Treasure 0,6% essentially means that 0,6% of those who bought FFX did this X-2 achievement - they’re actually on the same achievement list on Steam. Defeating the boss of Chapter 1 in X-2 is a ’rarer’ achievement (9,7%) than beating FFX (17,8%) - beating chapter 2 of X-2 (6,3%) is ’rarer’ than dodging 200 Lightning (8,8%) in a row in FFX. TL;DR: Tonberry Treasure is rare but not due to difficulty and doesn’t deserve to be #1.

    Playing a base level game is easy with FF8 because of the Card command (card then card mod to get Gambler Spirits to learn it on your other GFs). Card gives no EXP, boss fights give no EXP, and you can rotate the characters to ensure you don't ever level up. You can use Level Down on the one compulsory battle that gives EXP to Squall.

    The hardest achievement I've gotten was the ethereal executioner in star ocean the last hope. But the hardest achievement I haven't gotten and never will is the 7 day survivor in dead Rising. You have to unlock infinity mode. It takes approximately 12 to 14 hours with no saving, so you HAVE to do it in one sitting. Your health constantly drains, health items are finite, and bosses appear randomly throughout the mall. I got 5 1/2 hours and died with no health items being found. Oh and food items go bad in your inventory. I dare someone to find a harder achievement.

  • @IttarraOda

    @IttarraOda

    7 day survivor is hard for the wrong reasons, it doesn't really test your skill but more of your patience on a system notorious for freezing and overheating at that 10 hour mark. Hardest achievement I know of and gotten personally was completing KH 1 Remix on proud mode without restarting/dying (It's the trilogy that got released on Xbox One). Don't know if they fixed it/patched it, but the way it was coded you couldn't get K.O.'d at all, the second that slo-mo happened it counted as a "restart" so you had to start the game from the beginning all over again. And this is KH 1 proud mode, so there was crits happening left right and center with no safety net until mid-game when you could get second wind that would let you survive. And it REALLY REALLY hammered home just how daunting the final boss rush was.

    i wouldn't see how it's more time consuming to a regular playthrough, unless it's a first playthrough. converting cards into powerful spells and items in early game are the key here. the rest is just optimal junctioning to quistis, zell, rinoa or irvine throughout the game since you will mostly one shot everything anyways. of course a bit luck is involved since you'd need at least one hero and an aura stone for ultimecia which aren't guaranteed drops from either seifer or the aliens on ragnarok

You can see this when games just come out and certain achievements are literally impossible because they take hundreds of hours (or the achievement is even bugged and impossible). I'm actually surprised that the achievement for ff8 is so rare since it's not really all that hard to do if you know the mechanics of the game and how to cheese your way through. You can get OP before you even reach dollet without leveling up once with squall, just gotta farm some fish for 6 ap each with quistis till quetzacotl learns card mod, then play some triad and convert the rare cards into really powerful items and spells, that way you can probably one shot all of the bosses till disk 3 (even unoptimized mind you since there are chances to get douple, triple, flare and ultima right after you can move around wih the garden) then optimal atk junction onto zell, rinoa or irvine throughout the story, get yourself cactuar with kamikaze to deal massive damage beyond 9999 on optimal hp junction for your main character to one shot 99% of the bosses for the last portion of the game. Then hope that one of the seifer battles drop hero for the final fight with ultimecia and that one of the aliens on the ragnarok drop an aura stone, ideally you want to give both to irvine to cheese the final battle with his ammo and you don't whipe on her.

    Well the mobile version of FF6 was taken down iirc, but getting all 253 Rages on Gau would take a hell of a long time and would need a guide.

    I got the the Platinum trophy for the seeing every Concurrence in FF12 that is supposedly so hard to get but I actually did by accident without even realizing it was an achievement.
