Awesome masculine cards!!!! I struggle not adding bling!!!! lol
I love the diagonal stripe with the geometric die. Would be a nice card for anyone.
I love the masculine cards and the colours that you used. 😍
Love the BIG birthday card. Thanks for all the ideas.
GREAT TIP about reversing the position of stamp and paper in the positioning tool to keep the heavy stamp from falling off. Brilliant. ❤

100% YES. This tip totally blew my crafty mind!
A couple of things… I love that your sponsor is for mental health. It is a really important message. When my three boys were really young, I struggled, they are all autistic and I didn’t have time to go see someone for me… I was always taking them to speech therapy, occupational therapy and psychological appointments and something like this 10 years ago would have been a godsend, so although I’m good now, it is a good message to make mental health support a priority, regardless of where we are in life. So thank you! Secondly I am all about the shaker card!
Yep I tend to do geometric cover plates for my male cards, but plants work to. Thank you Justine! 🎉❤
Thanks for the tip about the 3M foam tape. I hate cutting foam tape because of the sticky residue.
I tend to make landscape cards for men; the beach the lake, mountains, and deserts are all themes I've used. But not always, I made unicorn cards for my 40+ year old sons one year, it just fit the unique theme I was going for and they thought they were hysterical. I guess you really just have to know your audience.

I made a card with RED irises and a blue tiger for my brother one year. He hybridizes irises, but red is a color they just don't come in.
This video is super helpful. Great ideas for masculine cards.
I saw the wedding band! Congratulations!
Thanks Justine for the great ideas and tips. I liked your color combination too. TYFS!❤
I like wildlife and forest stamps, so that would be my first thought for men.
Perfect. I struggle with cards for certain people in my life and this is so helpful.
Love All of them.. Don't know which one is my favorite. I could use any one even though all the men in my life are outdoorsy, hunters people. I think they would enjoy these too. Saving this yo recall it. Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy.👍👍👍❤
I like geometric patterns for manly cards, as well as landscape designs. It also depends on the person it’s going to, of course. I also tend to limit my colors too.
I make a TON of masculine cards. Luckily my husband and two young adult sons are all musicians, so I do buy that “theme” frequently when I can find something I know they would like. Otherwise if I want a specific theme, I tend to buy patterned paper and use my dies to complete the card. For example, I just completed a whiskey card for my husband’s director who is retiring this month. He’s a whiskey expert and I got lucky with the paper. lol
Love the cards. So unique and definitely had a wow factor!
Love the simplicity which I have a hard time doing.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful techniques.
Great cards!! ❤ Thank you Justine. 😊
I like to use old photos of family memories, pets & landscapes of places we enjoy. It's like making a simple, miniature scrapbook page. Men seem to appreciate the memories. So do women! lol :-)
Impressive plaid!
You are so talented! thank you for sharing your tips and tricks
Hi. Thank you for sharing your great collection of masculine cards. I think I liked the diagonal stripe with the geometric pattern over the top best and it was a brilliant save, too. Have a super day.😊
Love your ideas for masculine cards. My guys are not into sports or fishing either. Glad to see some masculine cards using geometric designs and more.
Plaid makes me think of my dad, who always wore plaid shirts. He's in assisted living, so sometimes somebody else picks a shirt for him that's not plaid.
Thank you for sharing your techniques and tips. I struggle with masculine cards so this is very helpful. Have a good day
I made my husband a distressed “steampunk” lock card with a key on the inside with the sediment “You hold the key to my heart”. It wasn’t specifically masculine but he really liked it. I love your ideas.
Very good ideas Justine, thanks. Jenny ❤😊
Fabulous ideas! Thank you!!

Hi Justine. Thanks so much for the masculine card inspiration. 😊🇨🇦
Great masculine card ideas! I make 10+ masculine birthday cards a year so I am always looking for new inspiration. I don't really make geometric cards but those were my hands down favorite. Just stunning. I am going to give that technique a go for sure. Thank you!
Great cards!
Great tips, the simplicity is the rule. Thanks for sharing❤❤❤❤
Great examples of masculine cards, I like them all and plan on making some following your designs! I am one of those that has a hard time making masculine cards. TFS. I have always used liquid glue to attach the acetate, so much easier than anything else and I’m all about easy.
Love these cards especially the plaid with balloon. Yes please enlighten us about centering alphabet dies!
Great tips!
These are all great!
I can't pick a favorite! I like all of these, and I love the color palette. Such a nice change from blues and browns!

Very impressive.
Any tips on how you got such a delicate image cut out with your Cricut on plain paper? I always seem to have a problem with that.

My best tips (though I know you're asking Justine) are a sharp blade and a mat that's not too beaten up. The mat came as a surprise to me, but I was struggling with a particular image, had a new blade and the same cardstock I'd been successfully using, but had a pretty tired mat that had some grooves in it. I replaced the mat and that was the key! But using sharp blades is key, as is making sure you have the right material selected.

I stab my blade in a ball of crumpled aluminum foil to clean off adhesive for a cleaner cut. I think that was a makers gonna learn tip.

If you can tell me what you mean by plain paper, I may be able to help - printer paper? cardstock?
Amazing guy cards- great tips and techniques. What type of surface do you work on?

We have to choose?! Cruel. But if forced to, I’ll take the second one with the diagonal that says hi. I have that cover plate die and adore it. And maybe I shouldn’t admit it, I’d love receiving any of those cards and I’m a woman. Well, maybe I’d leave the Harry Potter one for someone else since HP isn’t my thing, just to be generous.
Hey, Justine, just wondering if you have a supplier for the 3m foam tape (ideally one in Germany or the EU😂) - I didn‘t see it on the supply list… I am REALLY looking for one which does not result in copious scissors cleaning!

Thank you for these ideas... it has given me some nice ideas. Just a question... I post most of my cards and I do not make shaker cards because I am worried that post office might object to these sequence noise and open it or they might get crushed when they go under a machine. What is your opinion or experience? Others can also share their experiences. Thanks in advance.

I think it would vary from country to country. I'm never at the receiving end of cards I send in the mail but I haven't had reports of there being any issues. Mostly I give shakers to people in person though.

Putting an extra piece of cardstock in the envelope in front of the card helps to protect it against damage. I do this sometimes when I have embellishments that stick out a bit, like gems.
I haven't been able to find the coverplate die that you used on the "hi" card - where do I find it please?

My approach to making cards for men is to focus on interests rather than my interpretation of “masculinity”. I make cards for people who enjoy racing, camping, and poker, etc. If you want to be more traditional about it, looking at men’s clothing helps. Clothing designs translate fairly easily into card making. In clothing there is color, shape, pattern, and theme inspiration. As a creativity exercise, I like interpreting Met Gala outfits in cards. Usually I like Blake Lively’s costumes best but she wasn’t at this year’s Gala. Instead I went with Lil’ Nas X. I admired his dedication to the evening because it took 9 hours to turn him into that glittery silver bejeweled cat, even his teeth were painted. I enjoy over the top bling. And I managed to layer gems and pearls for a 3D effect just like in his costume. I don’t like his music so I haven’t paid any attention to him before. He makes lively sartorial choices. Plus I learned that he has gorgeous hands, very elegant and sculptural. Not by any stretch what most card makers think about when coming up with masculine designs. But it was a creativity blast.
Great cards. Love the color combo. I hate referring to them as “masculine”. It seems too limiting. Not all girls are “girlie” and these cards would be awesome for anyone.

Absolutely
The ongoing conversation in the card making world about how to make a masculine card has always baffled me. What, women get pink and bunnies and flowers and men get fishing rods and jeeps? Is this 2023 or 1945? Look at Justine’s gorgeous cards. Wouldn’t they be lovely for men or women to receive? I’d take any one of them. Geometric cards are universal. Just shift the colors if you think the man you’re making a card for would prefer a different color palette.

That’s how I feel, too. But since so many requested masculine ideas I wanted to show it doesn’t need to be so stereotypical
