Great vid. Never fully understood the toe hang vs putting stroke topic. Thanks for the explanation
This was a great explanation. Looking to get my first budget set, but need a putter for the set and had no clue how to select. Thanks 😎👍🏽
Great video, this was super helpful!
awesome video! thank you
A concise and helpful video. 👍
Great video - what about weighting options beyond grip - best putter video I've seen
This has convinced me to go for a putter fitting, my bank account does not thank you 😂

That’s the only way to go if you want to get better at putting

It’s what I’ve done for my entire set as standard shaft length (for 5”8 men’s height height) is the problem now with all lengthens for me as 6”1 so much improvement😅
Love the video! I have found that an old Sam Snead "pay-off" putter works best for me. That's right...an ugly metal version of the rubber two-way putters you use at mini putt golf courses. 😂
Great advice 👍Thanks Dickey
Hi! Are there any thoughts on the new L.A.B LINK1 putter? Their technology looks pretty interesting
There is 1 point I would like to add if that’s ok and the only reason for this is I was fitted for a putter and the fitter made me aware of this and I think this is also a great point on helping to select the right hosel According to Guerin rife of evnroll putters,a short slant hosel will help golfers who have a tendency to pull putts(moss left) & that also produces more toe hang to help aid them in reducing the miss and conversely, for golfers who tend too push(miss right),a long hosel is the best option as that produces less toe hang allowing the putter to rotate closed at impact to help the putt stay on line Is that a valid point in deciding what hosel is best, knowing what your main miss is
The putter is the club we use the most, the one hardest to select correctly, and the one least often professionally fitted.
Thanks for the tips. Maybe a stupid question, but how do I know/measure if my stroke is curved enough to warrant a toe-hang putter or straight enough for a face-up putter?

Most people in general, have a slight arc on their putt. Straight putt really depends on how well you can maintain a straight-thru stroke. Also, the alignment is slightly different. Your straight putter should be exactly your eyes 'over the ball'. With slight arc, you can push out your putter a bit. More comfort.
How does these new larger grips affect everything you are sharing ?

There's a reason people upgrade their grips. Larger grips prevent your wrists from making twisting movements. Fatter grips basically 'quiet' your hands. Definitely consider superstroke grips.
Martin are you related to Christian Horner?
I had 8 putters, and after watching this video, i still didn't know which one to choose😅
I had to watch this over and over to understand anything
Do you like the way it looks...is it long enough for you...ok, perfect....youve found the right putter. Quit buying into this crap and GO PRACTICE. I'll beat most of you with a putter from a putt putt course
