Hello mate, glad you liked my birthplace! I would definitely suggest also going to a cafeteria near Eptapyrgio for a panoramic view and to Kalamaria's marina for food and coffee. Generally we have very good coffee shops (and very cheap too) and we like it a lot to sit near good view places to enjoy it. A tip I would give you is to avoid night walks at the western part of the city if you are alone (especialy if you are a girl) because there is high criminal activity, for example the Train cemetery is in Diavata is a very dangerous place especialy at night. If you stick to downtown and to the eastern part it is very safe, the worst neighbourhoud is called Dendropotamos which is a ghetto basicaly.

Never been to that part of Greece. But you Should check out Crete. It's much more traditional...there's a fish market, outstanding restaurants, and other markets. You can even take a day hike down to a beautiful white beach (need to start very early). Or snow skiing on the highest mountain...in the early summer. Fly in, or on a cruise ship.

Only i am i scared of snakes. Its Eftapyrgion Not Heptapyrgion. Whatever you see H first take it away. German thing and they love the H sound. Remanind them the arabic sound in their language. Anyway the City has some caind of magnetism, erotism, It mesmerizes one to easily open all the senses and just escape to a magical atmosphere, it keeps you calm, cool, calm and hungry on more exploration. You have to spend the evening in Aristotle's square to feel the first wave of feeling in the midst of all being .... the safety most of all. That makes you feel one with the City. No wonder Cal that your blood brought you here. after all your name starts with Mc. the Fate! Welcome back. I have the feeling you will e back soon.

IL = IL-LI-JA = Macedonian EL = EL-LI-JAH = Hebrew AL = AL-LA-HA = Arab (notice Allah? Yes, that's him, the holy god) AL-LE-HA-N-DER is just a Semitic mixture of the Arabic AL-LA and the Hebrew EL-LE. The Macedonians are celebrating Alexanders birthday as ILINDEN (Elijah's Day) on 2 August (reckoned as 20 July by the Orthodox Julian calendar). You google for: ILINDEN THE DAY OF THE REPUBLIC. That is ILI-JA, the native Macedonian name of ALE-HA. The ILI means HOLY and JA means GOD. For more lectures about etymology and the origin of the names, there will be paid classes soon. Dude at 1:38 you reference at the govervment of our brilliant leader Ioanni Metaxa, as a fascist dictatoship. Well, let me ask you something. How it is possible a fascist governor to FIGHT the ITALIAN FASCISM, kick their asses and also fight German Nazis? Hmm, i think you are uninformed mate. Anyway, thank you for your video and nice words, but thumbs down from me.

You slav, since i am from Thessaloniki i have to say that you are living in a dream... I have never met anyone here who even likes you as a country, let alone to want to unite with you😂😂😂 even in some villages that people speak Bulgarian (your language) they proudly say that they are greeks😉😉😉 i hope you wake up soon because you need to focus on your country and not on imaginary minorities and lands you can't take over

The Macedonians tend to shorten (un-vowel) the words for faster speaking. The name Salonicae = SUN (un-voweled as SLNCE = СЛНЦЕ). While Tze-Salonicae = BRIGHT SUN where TZE=LIGHT (we use TZE every day for light). The Greeks know about the un-voweling by the un-voweled word SLAVS, that comes from SILA-VAS, better known to the Greeks (backwards) as VAS-SILA or KING. The literal meaning of VAS-SILA (вас-сила) in the Macedonian language means YOUR-POWER (translated in the English as YOUR MAJESTY or YOUR HIGHNESS)....

I was born and living in Thessaloniki. This city is a good place for tourists to stay for 2-3 days, for univercity students to stay 3-4 years but to live and work here for all of your life is a "punishment". It's a dirty, ungly city without transpotation and rising crime level especialy at nights with policemen who want but can't help.

@@pol_signal_official1442 OMG! You are living in a so fairy-tales land! First of all, we, the Macedonians never came to the Balkans, we are native here! The history you learn about someone going across the Carpathian is the Russian story. They went from the Balkans to Russia in 6AD. That was the time they expelled the Bulgars from Kazan, so the Bulgars came to the Balkans! The Bulgars speaking Chuvash Tatar language, got converted from Tangran into Christian and changed their language from Chuvash Tatar into Macedonian-Thracian. The Bulgaria still keeps it's tataro-mongolian flag with green color representing islam. The Cyrillic alphabet was not invented by Cyril in 680AD, but was just simplified. There are writings in the same alphabet dating from 500AD. The Macedonians spoke Pelasgian, not Greek! The language that I do speak now! That is why all the toponims are understandable in my language, not in yours! Your language derived from the Semitic Egyptian Koine. Mine derived from the Pelasgian! The term SLAV is not an English word meaning slave, it means GLORY in Macedonian. SLAVS is short of SILA-VAS (or VAS-SILA)... you know what VASSILA language means, right? The language of the Royals! VAS-SILA in my language means YOUR-MAJESTY! ... so tell me... ARAB... what do you have in common with being royal or Macedonian?!
