Eurogamer if you go to the Odyssey and let Mario sit down in either chair, Cappy comes out and looks around at souvenirs also, if you fall asleep next to the dog he falls asleep too

If you look at peach’s bag as she travels the kingdom you’ll see she picks up the same stickers you get for your oddsey

True, and besides, you can't collect everything without beating both!

I really hope this spurs other companies to put more in their games. More secrets, more little touches, more to do after the storyline is finished. It seems like that stuff fell by the wayside quite some time ago, I suppose because why bother spending time developing something that hardly anybody will ever notice? Well, for those who do notice it, it does a great job of maintaining interest.

That's the thing though; it's not a waste if it improves the game. It's especially not a waste if it gets people talking and sharing secrets they've found. All that word of mouth is free marketing.

Yea; it's a shame though. Instead of all that stuff everybody hates, why not do this kind of thing? I can only hope that Nintendo embarrasses the other big companies into allowing for more creativity from their dev teams (and that Nintendo learns from them to allow more creativity from streamers & video makers).

I completely agree. I just 100% the game and it felt sooo friggin good. I'm not going to lie, you dont get the greatest reward but even then it still gives you a little something and makes you feel accomplished. Nintendo has been cranking out nothing but new classics that will be remembered for a while.

It's not about "why bother" it's because some game productions simply don't have enough development time or budget to work post-game and extra content in. Nintendo is both the developer and publisher of Mario, they're spending their own money. Other publishers are more about getting games out as quickly and cheaply as possible from contracted developers.

in the classic mario level that you mentioned, if you hit the hidden block in 1-1 that gives a 1 up, you will be awarded with a 6 heart container

The Darker Side kingdom you unlock at 500 moons is no joke. Some of the hardest platforming in the series, and super rewarding. The sheer amount of post game content in Odyssey borders on embarrassing, in the best possible way.

Jordan Khoviteri-Zadeh It's pretty much nothing compared to the platforming you have to do in Super Mario 3D World Champion Road, it's far more dangerous, more obstacles, waaay longer, AND you have to do it again with only 1 life.. The difficulty of this game can't match with it.

What is rewarding is beating it, not the reward itself. Some people take games as a job. They do things for the final reward, not for the journey itself.

Pertaining to the cat mario and cat peach sprites you can find all over the world, there's actually another one--a rosalina sprite. I found her in the dark side of the moon and she only gives out coins when you hit her.

Hello! I have a little question- Towards the end of the game I reserved 6 lives and the time instead of 3 and if you got hurt you could just stop moving and take a break for a sec and your lives would come back. However, once I unlocked the “Dark Side” kingdom, it set my lives back to 3 at all times and they don’t come back when I rest. Do you know if I can get my 6 lives back (without buying the Life-Up Heart) Thank you!

just bought the switch a week age, I haven't put it down since on the Wii you could go to the calendar and see how long you played each game, does the switch have the same thing, I'm looking but can't find it

1) collect all 999 moons 2) capture everything 3)get all music 4)get every sticker/ collectible for the odyssey 5) get all the hats 6) get all the suits 7)collect all purple coins My top 7 lol

And I thought Super Mario Sunshine was tight for the Gamecube 15 years ago, but Mario did his thing on this Odyssey.

If you've got the Dark Side Breakdown Road moons, here's a great challenge for you to try. In the normal version of the challenge, you do 8 long jumps. Since you can take the lower route to get to the other side, it's now 16 long jumps. It's how I practice capless challenge rooms :)

You can participate in speedrunning which takes a crazy amount of skill and you can also do the Koopa races, have you seen the world records, they're amazing! Also, the trick jumps Mario and Cappy can do are frickin amazing, it's so fun to do! Oh forgot to add, once you have 999 moons, you can go on top of Peach's castle and throw your cap at the scarecrow, not the one to get on top of Peach's castle but the one on Peach's castle. Climb up the pole and there will be a huge cap, from then on it's pretty straightforward, good luck.

Finding cat peach and cat Mario isn't something to do after you have completed the game you can find them anytime

I've finished the main story. I'm focusing on collecting every Power Moon in each kingdom now.

If you get all the power moons your sail turns gold and a harder version of the second bowser fight appears as a painting in the wedding hall on the moon kingdom

I wish BotW had a similat post-game. Like, new shrines with extra challenge, or a new area for battling harder version bosses.

I made a fun little mini game, stock up on some coins for this, go the sand kingdom then go knucklotecs arena, then look around and you’ll find a coin coffer, after that walk around in the coin coffer and shoot the coins at the zombie skeletons that spawn infinitely and see how long you can last, it may sound boring but trust me it’s fun

It had to have been intentional to have the most annoying way to collect achievement moons. You... -can only get them in the Mushroom Kingdom -have to speak to an NPC _and_ go through a line of dialogue each time -can't spam A to keep talking otherwise you'll jump -feel the urge to revengefully jump on Toadette's head (with the occasional cap throw) a million times afterward.

How do you get Diddy Kong outfit?

How do I know I finished it? I'm don't with the dark side of the moon, but I didn't look for peach yet and I didn't get every moon in every kingdom. So what do I do next? What's in he game and what's extra?

Did you know you can enter the odyssey through the large pipe in the back or by ground pounding the large circle symbol on top of it? Rather than the front door! 😉😉😉

I think I messed up I thought if I collected enough power moons in the mushroom Kingdom I'll be able to travel to all kingdoms but I don't why but I went to the cloud Kingdom for just this stupid matching game and now I'm stuck please help me

(spoiler warning) if you collect 500 power moons you'll unlock the secret kingdom known as the darker side, you can also find a rosalina sprite on the moon, and if you have 999 moons the balloon on the odyssey will turn gold and a big hat will be on top of peach's castle and if yoy climb on top of it and have cappy thrown it will show a cutscene.

Collect 500 power moons and you can access the "Darker Side of the Moon". Which has a long level that has to be beaten in one continuous run. If you lose all pieces of heart then you start back from the beginning. It's not overly difficult, just tedious.

If you hit the music box many times you can hear browser and peach asking for help

there is actually a few graffiti of Rosalina that can be found. although I believe it is only on the different moon levels.

A secret is that in Assist Mode, you get 6 hearts instead of only 3, and with the gold heart you get 9

On the dark side after you defeat the broodals look around and you can find a 2d rosilina like the cat mario hit it and you will get alot of coins also in some places you can find luigi
