I feed mine twice a day. They also constantly pick through stuff in the heavily planted, community tank & hide among the floaters. They're so cute to watch. ^^

... guppies are very hearty fish, surviving almost any horrible types of maltreatment, from time to time I scoop out guppies from this or that stream to feed my copto donine, and a few guppy fry might fall in as I pour them into the aquarium, and two weeks later I might find healthy guppy frys thriving and flourishing in the filter as I clean it....🐟👍

I agree, because the first time my guppy gave birth, she ate almost all of them, and I managed to only save one. I named him Jello, and the next batch of babies, she didn't eat anything! 6 guppy fry were sucked up by the filter because I didn't have budget for sponge filters, but I did save 15 of them. 😀😀

@@amrutkamble7278Don't worry, they will make many more fry in the future. Females' first birth has fry in the single digits because she is small but the fry will increase to 20-50 per birth when she is full size.

You really can’t go wrong with anything. Aslong as u separate the prego mom you’ll be good. Guppies are easy to care for, aslong as they have the basic fish care (selection of food, heater, lighting I did a plant light I had , bubbler, and yeah a small tank mine is 2.5 Gallons) also what I did bc I work is have hiding spots n some floating plants. So they can hide from the hungry mama I was able to have 11 fry :) it’s been two weeks and they are lookin mighty fine

I've found that once the fry are 2-4 weeks old, they can go back in the community tank without being harassed and the newborns have a lesser chance of being eaten with the mamas used to seeing smaller fish. my upper level has mini+regular sized water lettuce and lower level has caves. I might make some vids for fun later on but I am still in my greenhorn stages of aquarium keeping

Hello what an experience you have. it is true that guppys growth get stunted in very small space.. goodnews is there still a chance that they will grow . Now that you have put them on a larger tank, feed them 5 times a day and make sure do regular 30 to 50% water change every after 2 days to make sure growth is possible.. goodluck and let me know the updates of your guppies .
