Yeah, actually a problem area for a lot of RVers and surprisingly a pretty high risk of causing a fire from faulty wiring sometimes.

Had a relay switch catch fire in one of those fireplaces in a studio before I got into Rv ing. I warn everyone I know that has one of these fireplaces that it’s a cheap fix and YES check those wires regularly!❤By the way I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new relay for free.

GM Chris, man never even thought to look behind the fireplace unit. Thanks for that tip. I have a pair of cartridge water filters I am replacing next trip out. We have a Dometic WH in our rig. Is washing out the water heater necessary to do still? Thanks.

Yes Mike I would still empty out the tank once a year and flush it out to clean out any build up or contamination in there. If you see what looks like calcium build up from hard water you could still do a descaling process on it too. 👍🏼
