I took a fall in August going down my driveway. Knocked myself out and really thought I fractured my humerus...tore rotator cuff. Wish it had been a fracture but no osteopenia/porosis here. Starting these exercises while I wait for PT to have an opening. You guys help me so frequently. Thank-you.

34 years old, been suffering with rotator cuff on and off for 6 years. My shoulder hurt so bad before bed that my bicep felt heavy. I couldn’t sleep. Stood up and did some of these and got some relief almost immediately. I still have work to do obviously but I’m pregnant and just want to get to term without suffering . Thank you

I've been dealing with my own shoulder impingement issues for a while now, by loosening my tight chest/shoulders and strengthening my rotator cuff and lower traps. I've had it bad, and ignored the pain or years, which of course only makes it worse. At first I was getting my information from various sources... it seems like problems with external rotators and stiffness in the chest and shoulders are common these days, so everyone has something to say about it. The journey to fixing the problem has been slow, and just when I think I'm on the right path, some new confusing element pops up. Which brings me to my point; every time I'm uncertain, it's one of your videos that goes over the answer to the exact issue I'm having, and not just the same good-but-generic information I see from other sources. I appreciate the specifics you go through and I feel genuinely helped by your videos. Thanks for what you continue to do.

Thank you so much for all that you share. I particularly love this video as I have had both of my shoulders messed up. The last was my right & a PT collapsed on it while getting into the shower. I held him there for 10 minutes.. OUCH! It didn't hurt at first. I believe it was the next day that it started letting me know it wasn't happy. It took me a year before it started feeling normal. Both get tight ( for lack of a better word ) so, I will be utilizing the exercises you have shared in this video... From Arizona, thank you again & have a happy week. Kim :)

I did not immediately have a raised toilet seat the 1st few days and was using the walker to sit and stand very low. As a result, I overextended my left shoulder. Since I am stii receiving PT for my hip, my insurance will only cover one body part/area at a time

One thing I have really found to help, is to throw boxer punch combinations, slow and easy untill the shoulder and arm is nice and warmed up. THEN do these exercises. That takes about 20 minutes. The circulation seems to be very helpful. I do them nice and easy though. If a Boxing coach saw this, he'd be telling me I am being lazy, and just 'sluffing' through the motion, rather than actually punching. That the key. Between that, and all your exercises, I am slowly feeling better and better every day. I can even do pushups again. (12 only, once a week. No more than that). You guys really helped me heal.

Just ordered the booya stick and resistance bands, thank you! Question: out of all the products you sell or recommend, which ones are most likely to help most people with torn rotator cuffs, regardless of what type and where specifically their pain hurts? My concern is buying a product that is only helpful and tolerable pain-wise to some - not most - of those with injured rotator cuffs. In my case there all 2 small tears so not known yet whether surgery will be a must. Thanks so much!

I keep re-injuring my right shoulder, and I lift weights and exercise regularly. Where I feel it the most is when I do a motion like washing your hair in the shower. On the way down, I can really feel it. Especially when my arm is above the shoulder. The stretch where they were seated and leaning forward with the bar, that one seemed to help. I've modified this to a standard stetch I've seen before where you get down on your knees and reach your arms far forward similar to a superman, then lean forward. Sometimes people use this to stretch the upper lats, if you bend to the side a bit. I've also had upper lat pain, which I would guess is related. My upper back is starting to have a small spinal curve too, so Its possible these are all related. I'm a fitness person, so I just want to add stretches/exercises to strengthen the area to prevent issues in the future. Regular weight lifting isn't fixing the problem. Overhead press, push ups, I'm strong on those movements, but they aren't fixing this issue. I'll try some of this out, probably add pull aparts and face pulls with bands, see how it goes. Really appreciate the info!

I have a few questions. 1. I’m a long haul semi truck driver so I don’t have access to the rubber band or a ball. I do have access to a heron handle so I guess doing something is better than nothing. 2. So when doing any of the stretches or the strengthening if you experience pain do you just do a smaller rotation etc until strength and (less pain over time) happens or just stop all together if experiencing pain?

I work gig food delivery service on a bicycle and it seems I run into so many possible and actually occuring physical problems. I've already had a slip and fall which has caused lower backpain, but it doesn't impede my physical activity, EXCEPT, when bending down to pickup my backpack after placing it down or to get something on ground I have to lean a little sideways rather than before where it was easy just to bend down. Is this a cause for alarm and should it be checked out by a physician?

Hey guys, first, thanks a bunch for the videos you make! I watch them all the time since I found your channel. My question is this, my left shoulder clunks /pops when I raise it above my head, starts at about shoulder height. Have trouble raising any weight from that point up also less ROM with external rotation. I’ve had X-rays but they tell me the joint is fine. Can you offer any advice? What would you suggest? Would appreciate your opinion! Thanks!!

I'm the same. Painful. Pops and clunks. I'd love to know what is going on with it.

Dude I did messed up my shoulder from the external rotations and that’s literally why I came to this video. I think I was using to much weight. But not it feels like it needs to pop and does sometimes. It’s also tight

When you have a tear, do they get you to do the exercises through the pain? Or is there a down time before starting?

I’ll watch through the exercises and try them out. My shoulder is feeling painful when I do push-ups, side planks, or kettlebell overhead press. It feels like the middle/rear deltoid area. But it feels like the shoulder joint. If I hold a weight overhead it doesn’t bother me, it’s just a transition from shoulder to straight up.

I think I have a very similar injury, what did you find help?

@@xandergisbey5402 You know I was praying each day about it, working on mobility and stretching, and I limited my overhead kettle bell presses for a few weeks. And looking back on it, I think what caused it was that I was doing L-sit type holds on the stairway railings at work. They are a bit wider than parallel bars though, and I’m wondering if I was pushing in at an angle and jamming my shoulder socket. So now I don’t do those on the bars at work stairwells

Question: supine on the floor, knees bent, arms straight with hands down by the hips, raise straight arm with a dumbbell up over the head toward the floor. Is that good or not for the rotator cuff or not?

I'm trying to figure out how I injured my rotator cuff. I do alot of jump roping and push ups. Would either of these cause an injury?

The front of my shoulder sends a kind of electrical shock just sitting with my arm on the arm rest, I have no problem with range of motion. What could that be? Bursitis I don’t know but it hurts when it happens.
