Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by abnormally increased sweating,[1] in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature.[2] Although primarily a physical burden, hyperhidrosis can deteriorate quality of life from a psychological, emotional, and social perspective.[3] This excess of sweat happens even if the person is not engaging in tasks that require muscular effort, and it does not depend on the exposure to heat.[4] Common places to sweat can include underarms, face, neck, back, groin, feet, and hands. It has been called by some 'the silent handicap'.[5]
Both the words diaphoresis and hidrosis can mean either perspiration (in which sense they are synonymous with sweating[6][7]) or excessive perspiration, in which case they refer to a specific, narrowly defined, clinical disorder.
Hyperhidrosis can either be generalized, or localized to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, groin, and the facial area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the high number of sweat glands (eccrine glands in particular) in these areas. When excessive sweating is localized (e.g. palms, soles, face, underarms, scalp) it is referred to as primary hyperhidrosis or focal hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating involving the whole body is termed generalized hyperhidrosis or secondary hyperhidrosis. It is usually the result of some other, underlying condition.
Primary or focal hyperhidrosis may be further divided by the area affected, for instance, palmoplantar hyperhidrosis (symptomatic sweating of only the hands or feet) or gustatory hyperhidrosis (sweating of the face or chest a few moments after eating certain foods).[1]
Hyperhidrosis can also be classified by onset, either congenital (present at birth) or acquired (beginning later in life). Primary or focal hyperhidrosis usually starts during adolescence or even earlier and seems to be inherited as an autosomal dominant genetic trait. It must be distinguished from secondary hyperhidrosis, which can start at any point in life. Secondary hyperhidrosis may be due to a disorder of the thyroid or pituitary glands, diabetes mellitus, tumors, gout, menopause, certain drugs, or mercury poisoning.[8]
One classification scheme uses the amount of skin affected.[9] In this scheme, excessive sweating in an area of 100 square centimeters (16 square inches) or more is differentiated from sweating that affects only a small area.[10]
Another classification scheme is based on possible causes of hyperhidrosis.

I sweat easily takes no effort at all, I always fear going to the barbers and getting my haircut as I know 100% without fail I'm going to start to drench in sweat, person cutting my hair has to get a tissue and wipe my whole face every minute because it's like a waterfall it's so fucking humiliating, every basic thing I do I sweat and in the summer it's even worse it gets ridiculously out of control, I struggle to live a normal life getting a girlfriend ,holding down jobs, talking to people because of something I have no control over, rather be dead than continue living this cruel fucking world don't know what I ever did to deserve this 😥

I've had this issue for about the last 5 years, including another 3 years when I started high school. My anxiety and depression was so bad I would sweat all the time. However it did improve over the years and I was less depressed and quiet. However now after been graduated from high school, even just sitting down my groin, and under, sweats when I am hot and even cold. Whenever I get cold, I put on a hoodie, and it causes me to sweat, so I'm sitting there sweating because I'm basically cold. It's affected my life for a while and I'm tired of it. It's embarrassing because my feet and groin are always sweating. I'm tired of having to change clothes, wash clothes, and theoretically shower about 2 times a day. Honestly, I just got tired of showering so now I just wait a couple days to shower. Soda, even water, makes me sweat after I drink it.

As someone who had hyperhydrosis, I can totally relate. I tried everything and just like you was ready to accept it. But then I found out that there was a surgical procedure to stop the sweating.. I called the specialist and he said it cost $5000 USD each side. My heart just sank. That meant I'd have to fly to the US for the because I was Canadian on top of paying for the operation. Luckily he had a friend in Canada too that just so happened to specialize in this operation as well. On top of this great news, our health care covers the cost these surgeries since its not cosmetic in nature. The doctor explained there would be an incision made under the armpit to clip the nerve that causes the excessive hand and feet sweeting. This way, if the side effects were too much to handle, they can remove the clips and we would be back to the way it was. Before it was non reversible since they cut the nerve. When the surgery was complete. I had dry hand for the first time in my life. My side effects were mild. I sweated more on my chest BUT it would stop. I did this operation when I turned 18. I'm now 45. Best decision of my life and no regrets whatsoever. If anyone was to ask if to get surgery...I say go for it!

Whenever I go to the gym I have to bring a towel and at least 3 tee shirts even if all I do is run a mile and stretch for 15 minutes. After only running a mile my shirt will be completely soaked and I’ll put on a new one to do my stretches and by the end of stretching the second shirt will be soaked. After I’m done I’ll wipe off as best I can with a towel and put on my 3rd shirt just so I can have a dry shirt to drive home in. My hair, face and chest definitely sweat the most. Something as small as folding towels can make me have to change my shirt afterwards.

This could be attributed to a heightened sense of anxiety or fear when observing others in precarious situations, triggering palm sweating. However, when you're in control of the situation, such as when you climb or are in a high place, this reaction diminishes, suggesting a possible psychological rather than physiological response.
