Sometimes when they first arrive they won't eat much. It is all new to them a new environment. They no longer have their sibblings. What I did I brought my dog to the couch, and hand fed her. When she had enough she would just walk away turn her head. I knew she wanted no more. It took 3-4 days then she was eating on her own. It was because it was all new to her. Now she eats 1/2 a day. She spins around in a circle when she knows her food is coming. It is cute to see excited to see her food. She loves her food, and devours it.❤

My shih tzu puppies don't eat dry food or rice, they only eat chicken and egg yolk
