I have had the S70 for 5 months and i LOVE it no complaints whatsoever great golf watch and everyday watch i have had the s12 , s42 , s62 and the s70 is my pick by far good review still cheers from Canada

I really like it too, but i find the S12 better on a course im familiar with.. It is awesome tho, just a bit distracting

i have had multiple garmin golf watches and got the garmin s70 when it first came out and its been by far the best watch ive owned. I charged it last night and played today and it must of done a up date. Now when i finish a hole it now has a prediction of what happened on that hole. It will be correct if it tracked all your shots. So you dont need to press 4 buttons to just get onto the next hole. I also noticed when im on the green now it zooms in to the green and follows me around. You stand pretty much on the flag hold your finger down on the pin and it will lock the flag in that spot on your garmin. Im not sure if these are old features as i didnt realise i had tournament mode on.

Hi, surely you can turn notifications off at any point in time, eg through the night, so it's not buzzing as you sleep? In fact, if it's like the S62, pretty sure you can turn the 'buzzing' off, so the notifications are silent??

i have the s62 and s70. i found the yardage with my s70 to be off by up to 15 yds either way compared to a range finder, even with plays like feature off. i've tried fully resetting it, redownloading courses, messing with gps settings. the s62 is within 2 yds. now i use it as a very expensive scorecard

Try and return it if you can. My S12 and S70 work in unison. S70 fast to load the courses

I’ve been using an epix for about 2 years. Since they added the plays like feature, distances have been awful. Particularly with slope. Staring down an elevated tee shot it will tell me parts of the fairway are uphill. Been playing the same course 40+ times and the distances randomly did a 180 right when plays like came out. Not really sure what to do about it. Been having to use a range finder a lot more :(

Interesting, mine seems spot on for gps. I have both too, the s62 seems to be short a few yards to me. I think it uses less satellites.

A friend of mine had a Garmin that he wanted to sell and I used it for a week or two. I didn't really find it much better than a free golf app on my iPhone with my apple watch. I understand why people don't necessarily want to buy it

The S12 is a happy medium for me.. Phone has heating and battery issues.

@@ReviewsForGolfers Interesting. I get the point of heating and battery issues on your phone and smartwatch but my view is unless you are going to wear the Garmin full time as a watch, the phone and smart watch is a better combo
