Alex, I’m so happy to have found your channel. I’ve been having a strong, growing urge to start my filmmaking journey. Documentary filmmaking has caught my interest in particular. The way you break down your videos and explain things makes it so much more palatable, so I appreciate you for that inspiration. It goes without saying, I’m definitely “Ballin on a Budget” yet high on inspiration. Thank you my dude! Bless you! 🙏🏾✌🏾🙌🏾
My heartfelt appreciation for the incredible content you consistently create and share with your audience. Your dedication, passion, and talent shine through in every video, making you my absolute favorite KZreadr…Balling on a budget.

Balling on a budget! Thank you for this. I am rethinking the NTG3. I have a pair of Sennheiser ME66's which are good but the last couple shoots have me wanting something much better.. I think I'll rent one and rent a scheps (sp?) to see the difference..
Glad you brought up audio. Our lecturers/mentors during vocational film school phrased it like this; you can make a film with mediocre video quality and still fully engage the audience with good audio (for example The Blair Witch Project), but if you’ve got perfect video quality, a good story, yet bad audio, the audience will be completely robbed of being immersed - they can’t “forget” that the audio is bad, but they can “forget” that the video quality is.
This was helpful thanks a lot

The clamp you are referring is called Grip Head. Also always use safety wire, if you are gripping something over peoples heads.
Recently started filmmaking and workig on my own youtube channel. I have some plans with regard to the gear I still want to purchase but it's like some information overload with the amount of different things people have to think of on top of the lighting/camera/lens. I didn't even see I was not subscribed while I had watched most of your videos with those titles and thumbnails.
Balling on a budget! I cant even afford a c-stand let alone any of these! haha I really like to save up for the easy rig or maybe a good cine Glass!.
I thought EZrigs are super expensive. Like $3k or sth. But 1.5k is actually not bad! Would love to be balling on a budget!
Thank Alex for such a helpful video. One question please. Have you ever use Easyrig STABIL G3. If so, does it work as it claim it can stabilize camera setups between 5-25 kg / 11-55 lbs?

Very informative video, thanks. What do you think about the ne URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF? I have a Canon R5 and I recently started using RAW video, which is amazing. Now I have a strong urge to buy an actual cinema camera and the footage from URSA 12K, including your UFC documentary looks phenomenal.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I was filming with the Ursa 12K before and I rented the OLPF to try out and I didn’t notice a huge difference but that being said I LOVE this camera and the image it produces. To me it’s worth every penny!

@@Alexzarfatifilms Got it, thanks man! There's only a few videos on KZread with the 12K OLPF footage and it all looks insanely great. It seems like there's no other cameras in this price range that come even close to what the URSA can do. Waiting on in-depth reviews.

BALLING ON A BUDGET!!
Balling on a budget. I am budding filmmaker based in the remotest part of the North Eastern India. I document the lifestyle, culture, tradition etc of the tribals living there and I always work with limited gears. I hope winning this giveaway would enhance the productivity of the hardwork that I put in.
Good~ What kind of stabilizer do you use?
Hey thank you for the video I think I didn't study cinematography can you help me talk more on stage lighting how to use it

The Raid, in the NAS, isn't a backup. What do you backup the 128 TB of NAS data?
@Alexzarfatifilms
Жыл бұрын
The information is shared across all the drives, if a drive is failing it will allow me to swap the drive that is failing and it will copy the footage over. So out of the 128 TB what’s readily available is 112 TB because 1 drive is always they’re for backup. But to answer your question I do not back any of that up because you don’t really have to. The Synology let’s me know when drives are unhealthy and when to swap.

@@Alexzarfatifilms What if one or two controllers breaks on your NAS? Or worse, if you get attacked by a ramsoware? Lose EVERYTHING happened to me...and saved me an off-site copy

Can't overhype the power of fog or haze
I have a small Synology NAS and was an absolute nightmare to get setup properly. It’s NOT a consumer level device. ProSumer? Maybe, if you’ve got a solid understanding of networking. Also, their customer service is nonexistent, unless you want to hire a consultant for over $1000.

Until Synology adds 10g ports and NVME cache... Better alternatives are available
PAULIN ON A BUDGET
If I comment "Balling on a budget" do I get that $20 too?
Already commented, please make me win😍
Do you store all your raw footage on the NAS as well? I'd assume if you were shooting a full length doc that you would use up that storage space really quickly
