    HF Earthquake pneumatic tools have been excellent for me for the last 20 years as a mechanic. the Chief air hammers are awesome. a pressure washer and a leaf blower make a world of difference. Nicer to work on a clean surface. I stick to air tools over battery tools. Many of my air tools are well over 20 years old and still work. No need to get a battery with air.

    Any chance you could zoom in on the tools a little bit? Video idea; can you show any tools you've made or modified, and demonstrate what they're for or how they work.

    "It's a DeWalt 12V and they make like 3 tools for that line" haha, yep. I have mostly DeWalt 20V but went MIlwaukee when I got a 12V ratchet because I wasn't already in a 12V ecosystem and they offer a lot more compatible tools.

    100% agree on the 1/4 longneck ratchet. When my brother quit wrenching he gifted me his 14.4 1/4, 3/8 impacts and 1/4 longneck. Didn’t think id use it that much but can’t imagine doing some of the jobs without it now. Idk if I’d have a problem going to Milwaukee on the impacts but that ratchet would be hard to give up. I let the smoke out of it the other day so have been debating wether to get it rebuilt/ buy another or get a Milwaukee one.

    3/8s head and body of the ratchet are a good chunk thicker than the 1/4. wouldn’t recommend the 3/8 brushless snap on one, got it a couple months ago and have been pretty disappointed. finding myself grabbing for the 1/4 over it in most cases

    Try the Astro nano universal sockets or go Tekton/Capri. Really worth the money. If you go gearwrench, drive to Harbor Freight by the Pittsburgh, same factory. Seen a socket double stamped gearwrench/Pittsburgh. Gearwrench says they are investigating. Yeah, haha, caught ya.

    I don’t have the money for a snap on cordless ratchet and I didn’t wanna pay for a Milwaukee, so I went with a Hyper Tough from Walmart lol. Nothing wrong with it, I got the normal one and it’s comparable to the Milwaukee fast speed small one only a good bit slower. I like the speed of the Milwaukee and all but it isn’t worth three times the price for what I wanted

    Aren't mountain wrenches a 2 year warranty?

  • @themessygarage

    @themessygarage

    My understanding is it's Lifetime, but they're a PITA to deal with and often takes a while to replace. I've seen "Lifetime warranty does not cover abuse." posted with their warranty statement, which I get, but that alone was enough to get an Icon set instead when a 20% or 30% coupon popped up.

    I think maybe the internet KZreadrs lied to you. I had that DeWalt 12v think I still got it at home and also bought the 12v Mac Tools version of the DeWalt new impact driver. Oh no, those 12v nothing like 20v version. Trades that little bitch for the 20v Mac. The Mac and DeWalt 12v work good on the Mac ratchet, but it doesn’t even compare to the Milwaukee m12 on an impact driver. I don’t care what those KZreadrs claim, the 12v don’t have the beans of a 20v! They not even good as the Surge much less the regular m12. Except for the Mac Tools 12v ratchet, 12v DeWalt stuff sucks! Your first clue on those videos that show 12v having more power or torque than what DeWalt rated the tool. They lied to you bud.
